I am like this in every aspect of my life. I try things and they fail over and over. Then I ask myself, "What part of that invention caused it to fail?" Most people quit when something does not work. I keep going until I succeed. You can try this with a plastic pot and if you do not have a drill, you can heat up a knife and push it through the bottom of the pot. You may need to heat it up over and over until you are able to cut a round hole in the pot.
I always start the bottom plant first, then after I am sure that it will live, I decide what to plant up top. Good luck with yours if you attempt it.
