7’ tall?? That’s amazing. How long did the cuttings take to root? I want to have Fiddle leaf at some point but not now since I also am neglecting the other plants 😭
Sometimes I feel a lil guilty. There you guys are making extra effort for plants to grow well like Boston Fern for example. Here I just see them everywhere outside and even giant pothos and rubber trees! Sometimes just growing wherever they can. Yet I still manage to kill some of them haha.
Think I need to change the soil from cocopeat to actual soil from now on since cocopeat dry sooooo quick since the plants are now exposed to more sun and growing long already.
Hi @hiddenblade, The Fiddle leaf took about 2 weeks to start showing roots. As you can see, my plants were showing signs of neglect and lack of nutrients. I live in western, New York and tropical plants only survive in the house. I love tropicals but only have room for a few. I know that Cocopeat is more on the acidic side and perhaps you need to neutralize the soil a bit to help the plants take up more nutrients.
Best of luck with your garden.
Oohh I didn’t know this with cocopeat. I don’t see a problem so far other than me underwatering them… although it may have affected their growth by slowing it down so I guess yeah.
