Ipapakilala ko sa inyo ngayon ang isa sa mga halaman namin sa bahay. Ito ay tinatawag na PENCIL CACTUS.
(I will now introduce you one of our house plants. This is called PENCIL CACTUS.)
Ang halamang ito ay di masyadong alagain di tulad ng ibang mga halaman. Wala rin itong karaniwang mga isyu sa mga peste o sakit. Kung madalas kang maglakbay at walang oras mag-alaga ng isang halamang bahay, maaaring ito ang halaman para sa iyo. (This plant is not very well cared for unlike other plants. It also has no common issues with pests or diseases. If you travel often and don’t have the time to take care of a house plant, this may be the plant for you.)
Ang halamang ito ay di kailangan diligan araw araw. Maaring diligan ito kung sadyang sobrang init ng panahon at tuyong tuyo na ang soil nya. Kapag malago na ang halaman, pwede mo itong putulin at itanim muli sa isang lagayan o paso at ito ay tutubong muli.
(This plant does not need to be watered every day. You can water it if the weather is too hot and the soil is dry. When the plant has grown, you can cut it and replant it in a pot and it will grow again.)
Kung may maganda sa halamang ito, ay merun ding hindi maganda tungkol sa PENCIL CACTUS. Dapat mag ingat tayo at ang mga alaga nating hayop sa malagkit na katas nito dahil ito ay may acid. (If there is something good about this plant, there is also something bad about PENCIL CACTUS. We and our pets must be careful with its sticky juice because it contains acid.)
Sa kadahilanang ang katas nito ay nakakapagdulot ng pamumula, pagluluha, pansamantala o tuluyang pagkabulag. (Because its juice causes redness, tearing, temporary or permanent blindness.)
Pagkapaso ng balat, paltos, rash o irritated skin. Kapag ito naramdaman o naranasan nyo magpakunsulta na agad sa doktor. Maghugas ng kamay, magsabon ng maige para matanggal ang bakas o katas ng halaman sa inyong mga kamay. (Skin burns, blisters, rash or irritated skin. If you feel or experience this, consult a doctor immediately. Wash your hands, use a mild soap to remove traces or plant juice from your hands.)
