How to save plants from a dry summer?

Good afternoon, dear friends.

Today I will tell you how we grow vegetables without watering. We don’t water at our dacha because water is expensive. So we gave up water.

At our neighboring dacha, we watched as our neighbors created a drip irrigation system using a plastic bottle. We decided to do the same. We made a hole in the bottle cap. We checked the hole for water. We cut off the bottom of the bottle. We installed it near the plant and poured water into it. We managed to water the plants.

For example, this is how we installed it near zucchini, tomatoes, and cucumbers.

Now we can come to the dacha once every three days to water the plants.

This year, they are predicting a dry summer. Even now, the sun is shining brightly. We purchased white material and began covering the plants with it.

This is what it looks like from afar: plants covered with fabric.

The idea seems good: a water bottle with holes and water just coming out, supplying moisture on the ground for the plant's roots. I just hope the water in the plastic container won't get hot during scorching days. The plants seem to thrive despite the hot and dry weather, so I guess that system is effective.

And look at those beautiful flowers! They seem to enjoy the sunshine. They don't look dry and exhausted, they must be summer flowers, very beautiful! 💝

Yes. We had this. We came to check the plants. Under one bush, the water did not flow and remained in the bottle. The bottle was clogged. The water was hot. We punctured the bottle again and filled it with fresh water.

Thank you. These are June flowers. They bloom only in early summer.

The yellow ones are Eschscholzia; they will bloom until October. They are sun-resistant.
