Yay! Spring has Sprung! The early flowers are in full bloom now that the cold temperatures are disappearing. This is a pink variety of Candytuft that is next to my front porch. I love the sweet pale pink compared to the white variety I have in another garden.

The Daffodils are all opening up and the Forsythia bushes are full of buds, a sure sign that spring has arrived.

The Star Magnolia tree got hit with high wind, heavy rain, and a severe cold night. That took out all the blossoms that had opened up. It was so sad to see all the flowers turned brown when I got up in the morning.

I had one pink Hyacinth come back this year. I have lost a lot of them that I planted 20 years ago. I think it might be time to order some new bulbs next fall. They are such a pretty flower with a wonderful fragrance.

It was such a lovely warm day, so I opened up the greenhouse doors again for the plants to get a nice breeze. They are all getting very big now.

It is supposed to be a warm week with a few showers. I will be bringing the tower gardens out and putting them around the porch. It feels so nice to be able to be back in the gardens once again.

My garden has also started to bloom, I already wrote about the earliest flowers, now it's the turn of magnolias, daffodils and all the others. By the way, I also grew one pink Hyacinth)

Doesn't seeing the spring blossoms just make your heart sing? I wish I had more Hyacinthe in the garden, they are so pretty right now.

Well that's a cool sea of flowers. Looking cool! It's lovely to see all the trees in bloom again.
A warm week with a few showers is a great combination for a garden.

Exactly, it was those few warmer days that helped everything start to bloom. Happy Spring!

What a lovely awakening over Easter weekend, hope the warmth lingers without cold snaps to allow them to bloom a lot longer.

Me too! These cold nights have been brutal on the plants. Have a great week, Joan. Hope all is going well for you both. ♥

I can remember my Dad would be so upset when we got black frost, killed much in the garden planted early living inland, at the coast subtle changes, nothing compared to what you endure.

It has certainly been a very odd spring here in N.Y.

Early snow inland we feeling lovely and fresh at the coast, good start to winter for us hopefully.

So nice to see these lovely spring flowers. This atmosphere gives lots of joyful energy.

The flowers definitely delight the soul. Now we just need warmer days to enjoy being outside once again. ;-)

Every time you show the candytuft, I think, I MUST get some! So I finally put it on the list. We were in the low 80's on Saturday and it forced a few blossoms on the old forsythia. Not going to be much on those this year. I also have just 1 hyacinth left. That pink one is so lovely! My saucer magnolia opened a few yesterday, and they aren't brown. I thought they would be, after the cold.

That cold snap put a hurting on my Magnolia, but today I see that those that were still tight buds have opened. I will try and get some decent photos later if the sun comes out. Have a wonderful Easter.

Lovely flowers, Candytuft looks so beautiful
Have a good day
