RE: Early June Garden Report

Well done! You have made great progress on planting everything out into the garden. I love the basket idea to keep critters out. I too had bad luck with my marigolds this year. Some died, but most were eaten by slugs, I think as all the leaves were gone but the flower remains. So odd! I wish I had room to grow corn but alas, my garden is too small. The cattle troth is a great idea too, never thought of that one. lol

The stock tank idea came from a local gardening and landscaping expert. It's quite an investment, but I like the convenient height. I just need to remember to water it more often than crops grown in the ground. So far, the things I've planted in it have not done well, perhaps because I didn't water them enough. I don't know for sure.

Good to know, I have two raised metal beds I purchased this spring. It is my first time using them and I planted onions in them. I will water them more now that you shared that with me. ♥

Mine contains onions and beets. I've replanted some of both. Meant to have lettuce and radishes, too, but the seeds were too old. Oops.
