My Father always told us that He will put A garden at the river and His plan was put into action.
Does My Family or Partner Get Involved in Gardening?
For me I really say Yes, in fact My Father is kept cleaning the place because as for Him, it really needs a spacious clean place for his Replanted vegetables, and his best choice is a garden near at the river. Since when I was a little Girl, My Father already loves Gardening, But He only create his Garden at the place were He can see his vegetables and crops just like near at our lawn or in the backyard. But this time, It is now near at the river. My Mother also involved in this kind of good activity and she is the one who put lots of seeds in the seedling tray, making an organic fertilizers ourt of Saw-dust and checking those young vegetable plants everyday.
My Father's Crops plant:
For the past few Months, my Fathers vegetables and crops are already grow very healthy and aside of that, it already produced young leaves. This is his Lutya crops, one of the most highly demand in the Supermarket. He planted almost 30 Lutya crops in his Garden and this is perfect for the place contains sandy soil, the crops on this plants can instatntly expanded because the soil is not hard due to mixed with sand. Tubers can turned into bigger one everytime when we removed the dry leaves from it.
He also planted lots of Cassava crops, this place is also good for Cassava because of the Sandy soil but this plant must be put in an open field where it can directly heat by sunlight. Cultivating really needs to be done everyday and so my Father Did and it takes almost an hour of doing the job.
Camote crops are also grows very healthy in fact it keeps growing and expanding. This is a kind of vine plant that produced camote crops and it can only harvested once when the leaves and vines will completely dry. This is not really hard to cultured and it does not need to cultivate, each vine can produced Crops and sandy soil is very perfect for it.
My Father's Vegetable plants:
This is the string beans plants and it already produced long vines and ready to crawl. That is why My Father decided to create this simple vegetable frames made of bamboo branches. He carefully put those branches and placed those vines to the branch. But My Father has a Problem, the string beans leaves was damage and contains lots of holes on it. For me, maybe its because of the intense heat or appids. But this simple problem is nearly well solve.
Saluyot Vegetables are very common here but it is also good to plant lots of this. He also planted lots of saloyut vegetables and as I counted it, the number of plants almost reached 50 Saluyot plants. By take caring of this, it needs to watered it daily specially when it planted in an open field.
He also planted two kinds of alugbati plants. There is Green and Purple alugbati vegetables. This kind of plants is very easy to propegate, it needs to plant in the place directly hit from the sun and the surroundings must be cultivated always. My Father planted this leafy vegetables last Month and now it already sees the Good results. Watering this plant must be three time a week.
His Camote leaves also grows very healthy and produced lots of young leaves. My Father planted this last week and now it already becomes stabled. This kind of vegetables can survived heat but it also needs to water three times a week also. Digging and making garden plants near at the river is very easy because the soil is not hard and well pulvorized because of the Sand.
Okra and Kangkong vegetables is very tricky to plant, it needs to check the leaves to see if there are harmful insects like appids lives. Insects loves to live on the leaves of this plants that is why it needs to checked regularly just as what my Mothers did. My Father watered this plants four times a week and aside of that he also cultivated the soil.
The last but not the least, this Kondol vegetables. It alreadg grows and contains a vine that is why making Frames out of Bamboo pieces needs to be done.
This is my Fathers Garden , near at the river and I really amazed about His plan. Now I know why He created Garden near at the river, so it can easily fetched more water for the plants and aside of that, there are lots of Nutrients can get to the plants because of the fertile soil.
