Been doing some shopping in the Asian market and found these bulbs of garlic already growing. I was very attracted to them.
So I picked one that I thought was the best among the lot.
If I only had a big space for them, I would have picked them all.
To my surprise, when I was about to pay, the tiller gave it to me without charge.
Home and admiring it.
Then I separated them, they are very healthy and very much ready to sprout out!
As the weather has been so good, I decided to clean up my neglected and weathered herb planter.
Planning to move it to a place where it can get lots of sunshine.
I had to take all the soil out as it would be very heavy otherwise.
As I removed the soil, I was digging up all sorts, like growing potatoes from the last year's crop that I missed.
Herb Robert was also growing. This wild plant has many benefits. Its high germanium content, which improves oxygen uptake at the cellular level, can help the body resist or recover from radiation exposure. There are many anecdotes about it being effective in supporting cancer recovery.
Lots of wild strawberries were growing also, and I transplanted them. They are rich in Vitamin C, which supports digestion, anti-inflammatory, menstrual relief, and skin health. It helps the body release excess water, and it can be used as a mouth rinse for sore throats or mouth ulcers. I always have them around in the garden as it is so handy.
Some Bergenia cordifolia they can self ferment and tasty as herbal tea.
A wild garlic sprouting, too! It is amazing how deep the roots are; no wonder why they are difficult to control when they are overgrown and turn invasive.
Wild Garlic
Wild Strawberry
Marjoram
Bergenia cordifolia, a nice herbal tea.
These plants I took out that I put in a different container this time, as they don't need deep soil I plan to put something in the planter that needs deeper soil, such as root crops, turmeric, ginger, etc.
I moved the planter to the sunny corner of the garden and put back about 8 bags of 50L soil.
Then on one edge, I planted the garlic. Looking forward to adding more plants in this.
I hope these baby garlic bulbs will soon bloom, and I feel good that I saved even just a bulb.
Have a wonderful day,
Mariah 🤎😊🍃

Wild strawberries are the best and no shop sells them
Red potatoes isn't it?
You planted garlic and I planted an onion in the same condition 🤣
Yes, red potatoes. 😊🩷
That's right, wild strawberries, no one sells them, I wonder why? But their benefits are amazing, it has got the highest antioxidant content among all berries!
Wow!! I need to plant some onion too! 😅
I always asked myself too, maybe plants are less resistant
They are everywhere here now, surviving winter too, I propagated from one berry 🍓 and ended up now with lots of them now. They grow anywhere. The berries are tiny but tasty.
Thank you 😊👍
Awww
My heart literally melted at that garlic bull. They are so cute separated. Good you saved that bulb. And a lot of transplanting indeed…you garden seemed ready to blossom more than expected…I hope to see how them garlics be doing in the near future

Thank you 😊🩷
I never thought I would describe plants like this but the little garlic sprouts look very happy to me, they're enjoying the soil. Your garden will smell amazing with all the herbs
Haha, yes they seem very happy, hoping for more garlic in the next few months. The garden will smell delicious soon! 🩷😊
happy to hear that, wish you the best
I've tried to plant Garlic here several times, but it always failed. I don't know why. Is it okay for hot places?
Ohh sorry to hear, but yes it should be ok in hot places. When I was in the Philippines I used to plant them, the bulbs weren't as big but very tasty. Get the local garlic like the braided ones. They don't like soggy soil. Add mulch to cool them a bit, best planted when the weather is cooler, around October to December. 😊🩷
So my methods of planting it was wrong. 🤣 Thank you for suggesting me Ma'am.
you're welcome 😊
