Hello friends in Hive Garden Community, yesterday was Sunday and that means I have lots of time for gardening. I got many pleasant surprises in the garden yesterday, such as the tomato and mango plants which started to flower for the first time.
Incision to accelerate fertilization
I did not expect that the mango tree that I planted would flower this fast, because I planted this mango tree carelessly. My guess is that this mango tree blooms quickly (about 2.5 years old) because I diligently cut the stems. By cutting the trunk, the mango tree will protect itself by flowering.
You can see the scars I made along the mango tree. You may believe it or not, but the slicing technique is one of the traditional techniques to speed up the fertilization process in fruit plants. I always use this technique on fruit trees in my garden, the result is that all the fruit trees in my garden bear fruit quickly, even though they are not given any manufactured fertilizers.
Planting Tomatoes in polybags
But today I won't talk specifically about mango trees, I will share how I grow and care for tomato trees without manufactured fertilizers. I plant tomato trees in polybags, the trick is to use 1/2 of the polybag. I didn't fill the entire polybag with soil, I only filled the polybag with soil, only 1/2 of the polybag.
After I saw the tomato plants getting taller, I moved them under the rambutan tree, because under the rambutan tree, there is an iron framework that can be used as a prop for the tomato plants.
I tied the tomato plants to tomorrow using plastic rope, this way I hope the tomato trees will start to propagate between the irons.
How to fertilize tomato plants
In order for the tomato tree to bear fruit quickly, I give stale tea. I collect tea bags that are no longer used, I will process them into liquid organic fertilizer which is useful for fertilizing fruit trees.
I mix one tea bag with 300 mL of water. I take the inside (tea powder) only.
After that I put it in the shade, I will steep the tea one night, therefore I do it in the afternoon. After the tea powder stays overnight, the next morning I will water the tomato plants with liquid organic fertilizer from this stale tea.
Adding soil
Because the tomato trees were getting taller, I added topsoil that I got from burning trash.
The next step is to water the plants with fish pond water. The water that comes from the fish pond is rich in nutrients which are good for plants. I water it once a week with fish pond water.
That's how I plant and care for tomato trees, even without factory fertilizers, tomato trees bear fruit quickly.
Vegetable harvest
When I go to the garden, usually I will harvest something and bring it home, this way the tiredness after caring for the plants will go away. Today I will harvest spinach, I see the spinach plants are thriving.
The kale can also be harvested, I will harvest it tomorrow. Today I have harvested spinach. All vegetables and fruit plants in the garden are free from manufactured fertilizers.
Even though my garden is not large, I am happy because almost every day I can harvest fruit or vegetables from the garden.
Thank you for reading my post. Happy gardening friends.
Best Regards

Oh I had no idea tea could be used as fertiliser! I know tomatoes like banana skins. I plant one at the base of all of mine but you can make a liquid fertiliser too. I learn something new when I read your posts, @umirais , thankyou!
but don't forget to deposit the tea powder for one night @riverflows
