Big Burning Canna Lily!

in HiveGarden4 days ago (edited)

Namaste to all garden and nature lovers!

A few days ago, I went to my brother's house. The backyard gate was open, so I could clearly see some plants. One of them was this large canna lily, which stood out even from a distance. I didn't know its name at the time; I was simply drawn to it by its bright colour and large size. I'd probably seen this plant in a nursery, but I'd never grown it in my home garden. But it looked beautiful, so my wife suggested we grow it in our garden too.

This was a stem growing between those large leaves of that plant. I'm not sure, but these might be the seeds of this flower. At first, I thought of picking these dry brown ones, but since I wasn't sure, I didn't pick them. Some other flowers were blooming there, but mostly they were fruits and vegetables. For example, a vine that looked like a pumpkin to me was growing on the ground, but it was still small, so I'll probably show you its fruits when they're fully ripe. Since I grow my plants in pots, their growth is a little slower than in the ground, and these plants are planted directly in the ground, so I am also excited to see the growth and size of its fruit.

The colours of this lily are so bright and beautiful 😍

It really looks beautiful. Thank you! :)

Nice flower. We have plenty of them here, but not in my garden. The same plant with red colour flower is also available. One plant is enough in the garden and too many baby plants you can find around very soon.

Oh great, i didn't know about this. So I only need to grow this plant for once and then it keeps growing new shoots. Wow! 😊

Yes bhai. Waisae hi hai ....

I love this plant. There's one in a neighbor's garden, and I always enjoy it when it blooms.
I'm glad you have the opportunity to grow it and enjoy its colors and beauty.
