The Weather is good for seedlings - Our Garden in fornt of Business Building

Hello gardeners. The weather is warming up and all the gardens are growing. The garden in front of our business building has also been completely painted green. Thanks to periodic irrigation and soil care, all plants grew abundantly.

Merhaba bahçeseverler. Havalar iyiden iyiye ısınıyor ve tüm bahçeler büyüyor. Bizim iş binamızın önünde bulunan bahçe de iyiden iyiye yeşile boyandı. Belirli aralıklarla yapılan sulamalar ve toprak bakımı sayesinde tüm bitkiler bol miktarda büyüdü.

Currently, only tomato seedlings have fruit on them, but all other plants have also flowered. I think that very soon they will all bear fruit.

Şu an sadece domates fideleri üzerinde meyve var fakat diğer bitkilerin de tamamı çiçek verdiler. Öyle zannediyorum ki çok yakın zamanda hepsi meyve vermiş olacaklar.

Let's start with the tomatoes first. You know that a tomato plant can bear fruit earlier than others, but the ripening and reddening of that fruit takes some time depending on the weather conditions. The weather has warmed up for the last few days and has risen to over 30 degrees. It even gets close to 40 degrees at noon. This is extremely healthy for tomatoes. Tomatoes need plenty of sun on these dates, and this reduces the ripening period.

Öncelikle domatesten başlayayım. Biliyorsunuz domates bitkisi diğerlerine göre daha erken meyve verebiliyor fakat o meyvenin olgunlaşması ve kızarması hava şartlarına da bağlı olarak biraz zaman alıyor. Son birkaç gündür havalar iyiden iyiye ısındı ve 30 derecenin de üzerine çıktı. Hatta öğle vaktinde 40 dereceye kadar bile yaklaşıyor. Bu durum domatesler için son derece sağlıklı bir şey. Let's move on to other plants. I mentioned which plants are in my previous article, but let me explain again. Apart from tomatoes, there are the most cucumber seedlings. These are the big green leaves. There are yellow flowers that you can notice at the ends and these flowers will turn into fruits. Since there are plenty of flowers on the cucumbers, it is not difficult to predict that the fruit will be plentiful and fruitful. Eggplant and pepper seedlings come after cucumbers. Although the eggplant seedlings are developing in terms of leaves, the flower is not very much and they need a little more time, water and sun.

Diğer bitkilere geçeyim. Daha önceki yazımda hangi bitkilerin olduğunu belirtmiştim fakat yine açıklayayım. Domates dışında en çok salatalık fideleri var. Yaprakları büyük yeşil olanlar bunlar. Uçlarında fark edebileceğiniz sarı renkte çiçekler var ve bu çiçekler meyveye dönüşecek. Salatalıkların üzerinde de bol miktarda çiçek olduğu için meyvesinin bol ve verimli olacağını öngörmek zor değil. Salatalıktan sonra da patlıcan ve biber fideleri geliyor. Patlıcan fideleri yaprak bakımından gelişim göstermesine rağmen çiçeği çok fazla değil ve biraz daha zamana, suya ve güneşe ihtiyaçları var.

Pepper seedlings also show a similar development to eggplant seedlings. It doesn't have many flowers yet, and unfortunately some pepper seedlings are too small. One reason could be this. Pepper seedlings dry out quickly in very hot weather and need to be watered daily. However, as we are not at work on weekends, the peppers cannot be given the necessary water. Their lack of water for two or three days may hinder their development, but since we can't come for watering on the weekend, there is nothing to do about it. Maybe it would make sense not to plant peppers next year. If the other seedlings are watered approximately every two to three days, it is enough for now. It seems like it will be necessary to increase the frequency of irrigation when the weather rises above 40 degrees.

Biber fideleri de patlıcan fidelerine benzer bir gelişim gösteriyor. Henüz çok fazla çiçeğe sahip değil ve maalesef bazı biber fideleri çok küçük kalmış durumda. Bunun bir sebebi şu olabilir. Biber fideleri çok sıcak havalarda çabuk kuruyor ve her gün sulanmaları gerekiyor. Buna rağmen biz haftasonları işyerinde olmadığımız için biberlere gereken su verilemiyor. İki-üç gün kadar susuz kalmaları gelişimlerine sekte vuruyor olabilir fakat haftasonu sulama için gelmemiz mümkün olmadığından buna yapacak bir şey yok. Belki önümüzdeki yıl biber ekmemek mantıklı olabilir. Diğer fideler ise yaklaşık iki-üç günde bir sulansa şu an için yetiyor. Havalar 40 derece üzerine çıktığında sulama sıklığını da artırmak gerekecek gibi görünüyor.

By the way, I would like to draw attention to a detail you see in the photos. We had to make railings from plastic bottles in the garden. We put the empty pet bottles upside down on the iron rods that we hammered into the ground in many places. Let me tell you why. The moles and crows that visit the garden can sometimes cause serious damage to the plants. This system, which we have installed to keep them away, rotates during the wind and makes a noise. Mole and crows also stay away from the garden because of this noise coming from plastic bottles.

Bu arada fotoğraflarda gördüğünüz bir ayrıntıya dikkat çekmek isterim. Bahçe içerisine pet şişelerden korkuluklar yapmak zorunda kaldık. Toprağa çaktığımız demir çubukların üzerine boş pet şişeleri ters çevrili bir şekilde birçok yere koyduk. Bunun sebebini de söyleyeyim. Bahçeyi ziyaret eden köstebek ve kargalar bitkilere bazen ciddi zararlar verebiliyorlar. Onları uzak tutmak için kurduğumuz bu sistem rüzgar sırasında dönerek ses çıkarıyor. Köstebek ve kargalar da pet şişelerden gelen bu sesten ötürü bahçeden uzak duruyorlar.
