Charactember 1 - The Lantern keeper

So I had very different supplies avaible compared to usual. Normally I've got my lovely blackwing pencils, or microns, or my tablet. Today while Drawing this I had a crappy ballpoint pen, a blunt cheap pencil and highlighters in green and purple and a piece of printer paper.

I started with a sketch, done with a blunt and cheap pencil.

I started with pen, and regret. I mean adaptability. I really missed my micron while working on this.

Then did some general outlines. And details on him. Those are supposed to be bells on his bandolier and in his hand. There's been quite a few different things with an assocation between death and bells.

And then i went mad MAD I SAY with hatching.

Then I added some green highlighter.

Then some purple.

Then I darkened it up some more and called it done.

the lantern keepers are spirits who guide those who are lingering behind. They wander places where there are many dead, drawing the souls to them with the sound of the bell and the light of the lantern. Then he gathers them around him and takes them to the beyond in order for them to find proper rest.
