Frostfall Village Day 1 – My Luminary Sanctuary
Good day Hivers,
For the first stop of the Frostfall Village drawing challenge, I drew my version of the Luminary Sanctuary. I wanted to keep it simple and warm, just how I imagine a small beacon would look on a snowy evening.
The prompt describes a tall spire with glowing windows and gentle details, so I started by sketching the main shape first. I thought of mushrooms right away their caps always remind me of soft roofs so the tower ended up with a little mushroom inspiration.
Here is the first sketch:

After that, I added the arched windows. I made sure they looked warm and bright because this place is meant to guide travelers through the snow. The lines are kept light, and I tried to give the whole tower a gentle look.

Next, I worked on the entrance. The challenge mentioned pine boughs, so I drew a simple garland draped over the doorway. I wanted it to look inviting, like someone placed it there with care.

When the main drawing was done, I started adding colors. I chose muted golds and greens, keeping the background dark so the light from the windows would stand out. The snow on the roof helps show that it’s winter in Frostfall Village.

Here is the finished artwork of my Luminary Sanctuary, glowing softly in the cold evening. It feels like a quiet place where you can stop, warm your hands, and leave a small note of gratitude before moving on.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope you like my first entry for this challenge.

The slightly opened door is quite welcoming look at that blizzard forming someone outside needs a shelter
