Elftober Prompt 04 - Tiny Victory

Hello guys,

It is Day 4 of my Elftober challenge, and today was all about the Tiny Victory. I decided to depict this elf balancing a little dewdrop right on his fingertips. That totally counts as a big win for this cutie especially when he has to hold a pose :) I am thinking of changing the colors to fit the dewdrop, so I went for a cooler palette this time, swapping out the autumn tones for a mix of earthy browns and bright blue boots. This fun, light green hair is a last minute decision. It is definitely keeping things fresh and I’m loving how my textured line work looks with all these different color combos.

Let me show you how I made it

The pose needs to be nailed from here and I am thinking longer hair for the elf this time

I made the eyes more bigger and squarish and a little adjustment on the shape of the nose this should have been pointy from day 01. The sleeves became simpler and longer like the tip of a leaf. To make it more interesting I added a little belly hahaha why not? The boots are showing that pointy detail on the back more prominently this time.

These is an alternative color palette I love the royal blue and orange combination.

Here are the rest of the prompts for this week you may use this list if you want to take part in this whimsical challenge:

Date Prompt
Day 1 Joyful Elf: The elf is happily running
Day 2 Secret Smile: What is the elf secretly happy about?

Elftober is my personal art challenge running throughout October, where I create a new elf drawing every day. Inspired by the popular Inktober event, Elftober is my own initiative to focus specifically on the magical and whimsical world of elves. My goal is to draw one piece of art featuring an elf for all 31 days of the month, using a custom prompt list to spark my creativity and help me explore my drawing style. It's a fun way for me to celebrate the magical autumn season with my favorite pointy-eared friends
