Hello guys,
Finally done with this first set of the #elftober drawing challenge. I think I had achieved something already there will be more to come and do I feel more excited ? yes and little worried too. Today, the prompt is whirling dance. I have my idea from the get go that is to create motion and fluidity. I want a hair that is flowy and an elf tunic with long tails also caught up with the whiling motion of dancing. Right until it took me longer to just do that so read along
Let me show you how I made it
My energy and motivation level is full. The hair going wild great, the collar is sailor cut and the sleeves are square and new. I want to keep that elf belly check. The is in motion one arm raised up, great.
Suddenly that arm is parallel to the ground the collar becoming less sailor cut the sleeves now pointy and the coat tails starting to take shape do I feel good? NO
It is taking me time to get the shape of the arms and legs right as well as the coat tails. Look at the browse it seems like they reflect my mood at this point I just noticed that now while writing this post. All of a sudden the elf tunic took a different direction it is looking more like space age suit. I think it is a win for me seeing it now with a promising look although different from my original vision.
Looking futuristic that is what I vibe with my new elf look so I thought I need to balance it using colors. I used warm autumn colors here and it is fine. I made another color palette and that is the one on the thumbnail which is generally blue. The elf is looking icy given the nice shade of blue for its hair. In the end I am still loving it.
Here are the prompts for this week you may use if you want to take part in this whimsical challenge:
Date Prompt
Day 1 Joyful Elf: The elf is happily running

Elftober is my personal art challenge running throughout October, where I create a new elf drawing every day. Inspired by the popular Inktober event, Elftober is my own initiative to focus specifically on the magical and whimsical world of elves. My goal is to draw one piece of art featuring an elf for all 31 days of the month, using a custom prompt list to spark my creativity and help me explore my drawing style. It's a fun way for me to celebrate the magical autumn season with my favorite pointy-eared friends
