I made a doodle do over of my old drawing about a mini village. When I revisited the drawing I feel like adding more warmth to it given that the colors I used reflect that but something is off.

So I changed the background into this brown sand and added some shadows for depth I like the change and proceeded to adding an effect that could look like a mild afternoon sun on the brick red rooftops and off-white facades of the stone houses and bell tower. I also included the surrounding greenery to make them pop.

This image above I could have settled with but I think I need more glow to properly highlight those areas being lightly scorched by the warm glow of the late afternoon sun and I was pleased with it

This is the original doodle it looks cool with all the blue and grayish background which literary takes away the warmth from this tight neighborhood and that doesn't work for me.
from flat now it came alive I love it
yes that was the idea
the 2D or flat look on the original is working for me but I also love the do over you made as it gave more depth and definition esp the sunlight on the roof
that late afternoon sun is what I want to depict here hope you like it
a little more warm on the colors then this could land on my wall as a print. Love it
