Prompt : Starry Friend
At first I almost imagined this prompt as something distant like a star that you get to admire from far away. But while drawing, it slowly turned into a someone like a friend who is close by and carries a bit of sparkle wherever it goes. Sparkles quietly, like it is made of small hopes, optimism and courage.
I want this starry friend with arms open, as if inviting you to step into their moment for a while. The clothes are playful and colorful, like a sailor above the sky. The stars around are just like crumbs of light that follow this starry friend naturally, as if being near them makes the world a little brighter. It attracts light and positivity.
This one felt comforting to draw although it took longer than expected. It gives that notion that some friendships feel magical without explanation. You don’t always know why they make things lighter you just know they do. That’s the kind of starry friend I wanted to depict today, If I could say something cliche like friends are like stars we might not see them during the day but they are always around something like that.
