Capturing That Post-Win Moment

in Draw A Daylast month

I was doodling this little sketch of Billie and Finneas. Nothing deep or political just me imagining the two of them right after she won. I drew her with that long dark hair falling straight, small but real smile, holding the Grammy trophy like it’s just another thing she picked up. I kind of like the outfit like the vest, tie, skirt and all the embellishments a mix of structure with that unbothered energy. Then Finneas on the left: longer straight hair, beard, suit jacket a little too formal for how tired his face looks. I made his eyes heavy lidded, mouth turned down just enough, hands clasped awkwardly like he’s proud but also carrying something heavier. The contrast came naturally her glowing in the spotlight, him standing close but looking inward. It’s funny how siblings can be so in sync yet so different in the same moment. That’s what I was trying to catch: not judgment, just the quiet human side of a big night. I didn’t draw it to take sidesI drew it for fun and a reminder that we are all figuring life out

love the idea of balancing the dark and light colors on a black and white composition somehow you managed to do that on your sibling sketch of billie and finneas
