Hey guys I’m so excited to share my new one-panel comics doodle with you all. I’m submitting this one for the December SketchQuest drawing contest of @quatro, and it is about a "The less you carry, the lighter you live."
I wanted to capture the contrast between these two characters. On the left, I drew the chill traveler whois just vibing with a small pack he looks free and relaxed, right? But then look at the poor guy on the right heis weighed down by a bulky backpack, extra shopping bags, and he looks so stressed out trying to navigate everything.
I focused on those quirky facial expressions to really nail that feeling of being overwhelmed versus being at peace. Aside from the physical stuff think about that mental baggage too. I think we’ve all been that guy on the right at some point, especially during the busy holiday season.
I really hope this inspires someone to drop a little extra load today and just enjoy the moment.
