I had the time to sit and think about the smallest details that I need to decide upon for my elftober character under the first frost prompt. This is the final look of my elf. I kept the line drawing as is only the colors and background that I took the time to design. This is an elf that is from a place with snow and frost. I gave it a super pointy nut looking hat so the snow can glide easily on it same with its pointy ears and nose
This is where I stopped and left off. Could not decide at this point what colors to use for the remaining blank spaces. It is not easy as using my favorite colors everything should help with the story
This shade of blue works for my idea of a frost loving elf. Pale and dusty blue almost about to glisten given the right amount of reflected light. For the color of the garments I chose this greyish pink that matches the faint value of green for the leggings.
I thought this would be easy but the color for the shoes and socks is a bit of a struggle too. Here I show two shades of green one is bluish and the other is almost teal.
None of those two is ever enough you see I now have four colors to chose from. The one with the check mark is the one I favored and those blueish grey above are for the skin tone.
Finally the background. How can I show first frost? It did not mention snow fall. The ground the elf is standing on would be my frost. It is light and icy. To complete the look I introduced some lights on the skin and surface so the light source is coming from above. Additional snow flakes to complete the look.
Hope you like it.
Yay you finished it I love the Frost effect and the color choice too didn't know that it took some debating in your mind which one to go for huh 👍
