Ensures that every single glowing letter reaches its destination.
I was so happy to see the Character Design Mini Series Contest: Frostfall Founders posted on the Draw A Day community lately. I am just glad that @cabalen is back with this character design challenge now contest. It is definitely back but with a new approach. I pick to draw The Bundlebug Snowpost Courier (Frostbound Dispatch) because the inspiration note says someone so lovingly bundled up in layers that they look like a round, chunky, lovable winter bug. This was just too cute and inspiring to resist
Here are some progress drawings for my entry
When was able to finalize the concept of my character, adding details to further define it has been quite easy and spontaneous. I love seeing the courier take form right before my eyes so quickly.
My design shows Mittens Snowpost in layered gear, walking with sure and steady steps through the swirling snow, carrying his big satchel full of letters and news. You can see the knitted mittens, the chunky scarf that wraps him up like a true "Bundlebug," and those cozy boots perfect for a winter stride each morning.
To make him fit the design hints, I added his tiny sleepy helper critter, who I am calling Frost Dispatch. Well, Frost Dispatch has little wings and is carrying a few floating envelopes, making sure nothing gets lost. He is magical in a way. Mittens’ small duffel bag is not just any bag but it is his kit with his magical compass and map charms to guide him.
This Snowpost Courier is now complete he is ready to brave the cold, fog, and wintery climate of Frostfall, delivering mail and parcel to the village. He reflects the village's reliance on dedication and reliability, since Mittens is out there every single day, no matter the weather.
