This is my latest digital drawing inspired by the creative idea of @cabalen. The prompt is very explanatory, and @cabalen helps us a lot with the elements we can draw inspiration from. On this occasion, I chose a cartoon, kawaii style, and I’ll be using symmetries along with a medium-toned color palette that evokes the warmth of a cabin by the fire, while at the same time feeling protected from the cold outside. I’ll be using Ibis Paint as my drawing tool.
Este es mi último dibujo digital inspirado en la creativa idea de @cabalen. El prompt es muy explicativo, además @cabalen nos ayuda mucho con los elementos de los que nos podemos inspirar. En esta ocasión me decanté por un estilo cartoon, kawaii y estaré usando simetrías junto a una paleta de colores de tonos medios, que recuerden la calidez de una cabaña junto al fuego, pero a la vez estar protegido del frío exterior. Estaré usando Ibis Paint como herramienta de dibujo.
This is a very simple style to do, reminiscent of how children draw, but we’ll add a bit of texture. If you look closely, the drawing is completely symmetrical, so I only drew half, and by magic the rest of the drawing appears fully symmetrical, while at the same time giving that feeling requested in the original prompt.
Este es un estilo muy simple de hacer, recuerda cómo dibujan los niños, pero haremos un poco de trama. Si se fijan bien, el dibujo es completamente simétrico, por lo tanto dibujé solo la mitad, y por arte de magia aparece el resto del dibujo completamente simétrico, pero a la vez dando esa sensación que se pedía en el prompt original.
Afterwards, I improved my lines by making sure they didn’t go out of place and changed the color to a brown tone, which will be the definitive color for the lines. I also worked on selecting the color palette, and since symmetry was still activated, it was reflected on both sides of the drawing.
Después mejoré mis líneas evitando que se salieran de lugar y cambiando el color a un café, que será el tono definitivo para las líneas. También trabajé en la selección de la paleta de colores, y como seguía con la simetría activada, se reflejó en ambos lados del dibujo.
I started coloring my drawing from the farthest elements to the closest ones, first separating the background from the rest. I also colored the pine trees green.
Comencé a colorear mi dibujo desde los elementos más lejanos a los más cercanos, primero separando el fondo del resto. Además, coloreé los árboles de pino de verde.
I dedicated quite some time to working on the stained glass, wanting it to evoke autumn, so the elements range from branches to dry leaves and withered flowers. The upper stained glass simply has a spiral design. I played with several transparencies to give it that glass effect. I also took the opportunity to add lights and shadows to the pine trees, and honestly, I loved the result.
Dediqué un buen tiempo a trabajar los vitrales, quería que recordara el otoño, así que los elementos van desde ramas a hojas secas y flores mustias. El vitral superior simplemente tiene un diseño en espiral. Jugué con varias transparencias para dar ese efecto a cristal. Además, aproveché para colocarle luces y sombras a los árboles de pino, que sinceramente me encantaron el resultado.
Now it was time to improve the walls and roofs of our sanctuary, as well as add more lights and shadows. I chose a gray color because I really liked how it looked with the rest. I also added the doorknob that I had forgotten and completed the lantern. By the way, that garland with snow on top of the door is decorated with natural Christmas balls made from dried fruits, and the square shape is a little gift. I also gave more shadows and lights to some elements.
Ahora fue el turno de mejorar paredes y techos de nuestro santuario, así como más luces y sombras. Me decanté por un color gris porque me gustó mucho cómo se veía con los demás. Además, agregué el picaporte a la puerta que lo había olvidado y completé el farol. Por cierto, esa guirnalda con nieve encima de la puerta está adornada con bolitas de Navidad naturales hechas con frutos secos, y lo cuadrado es un regalito. También di más sombras y luces a algunos elementos.
I added some details to the wall because I didn’t like it looking so empty, and I drew the snow piled up on the ground. My drawing is almost finished now, just a few final details left.
Agregué algunos detalles a la pared porque no me gustaba que se viera tan vacía y dibujé la nieve amontonada en el suelo. Ya está casi listo mi dibujo. Solo faltan unos detalles finales.
And finally, the last details I’ll add will be falling snow—it reminds me of a snow globe—and of course the name of the prompt written in my best cursive. I really enjoyed this drawing; making it was like mixing the cold of the days with the warmth inside the home. I hope you like it too. Thank you for accompanying me for another day of drawing.
Y listo, los detalles finales que agregaré será nieve cayendo, me recuerda un globo de nieve y por supuesto el nombre del prompt con mi mejor cursiva. Me gustó mucho este dibujo y hacerlo fue mezclar el frío de los días con el calor dentro del hogar. Espero que a ustedes también les guste. Gracias por acompañarme un día más dibujando.

right I think I saw that symmetry on your drawing notice how the color swatches on your progress photos show them in pairs hahaha that is when I thought you might be using symmetry. Is that your own handwriting on the drawing that says Luminary Sanc? if it is then it is very charming.
Hahaha yes, the color palette was reflected on both sides, thanks, it is my handwriting although it's a bit rusty hahaha.
