Oh hello there my creative friends, it is that time again for Elftober drawing challenge. I remember this from way back but I was unable to participate. I am a little late but I will try to do as many prompts as I possibly can. Elves bring out the child in me, they are one of my favorite subjects to draw.

This Day 13 prompt is Fave Snack, and it says the elf is delicately eating a piece of candy or a perfect wild berry or whatever snack you see fit or fancy. So what I do I choose hard candy, the kind that crunch and seem to last forever on your tongue. Look at this drawing I make, it is my grumpy old elf with a face full of lines that twitch when he chew. His ears they flop wide. He got this tunic on, loose and patched he sew it himself. It is with a belt that sag a bit over his tummy. The pants they hug his thin legs just right. Those curly toed shoes curl up at the ends perfect for hooking berries off. His mouth it open wide, teeth sinking in for a sour surprise. A little sugar treat makes his day.

Behind him the forest with ferns, mushrooms and twisted trunks that frames him nicely. When I was sketching him I think about how elves like this one they do not have big feasts with tables, in their world snacks is what matter. This hard candy came from a fellow elf who loves collecting berries and honey and make some candies.

I draw the shadows under his eyes deep because even elves get tired, guarding their homes from frost or nosy humans. The challenge it push me to add details I forget, like the pocket on his tunic bulging with more candies and berries.

If you join Elftober too, try this prompt it easy to twist your way maybe your elf nibble on nuts from the forest.
Draw your own elf and share it to the community and have fun.
