Here is my take on Elftober Day 16: Magical Wardrobe. Meet this little elf who clearly overestimated the size of the crown because he is too excited to try it on. He just found it in some dusty trunk and thought that it will totally make him look royal only to realize it is the size for a kid.
I wanted to capture that playful moment when someone tries on something but it doesn’t quite cooperate. Like when you think a thrifted jacket will make you look upgraded but instead, you just look like a detective with no case to solve. oh and BTW I made the colors extra vibrant on purpose because that is how I feel at the moment. It is magic, or fantasy, no it’s Elftober. The striped pants and coral boots were totally an experiment but I think they worked.
Anyway, I had fun with this one. I imagine him twirling in front of a mirror, deciding whether to wear the crown or go hunt for that huge flowing cape instead. What do you think. tiny crown energy or cape?
Here is how I made this elf
