Took the Suzuki DR650 on its first adventure. It was just a mini adventure / daycation to Allegheny State Park. I was looking for some fall foliage footage and I wanted to see how the bike did for distance rides.
The bike did fabulously. I used an old chair cushion over the seat for comfort and it worked out great! Much better than spending $500 on a new seat. Ghetto fabulous and it worked great, plus it turns into a great conversation starter. 🤣
In part 1 I travel along Lake Erie via a scenic byway. I ride past some gorgeous estates and some really nice beach houses and end at the Cattaraugus Reservation where I gas up and get ready for the second leg of my trip.
I'm just getting comfortable with the video editor I'm using. Some parts are a little over edited IMO. I had a lot of fun creating this though. Part II should be up in the next couple days.

Looks like fun. Couldn't watch it all because my network keeps breaking but it's so cool that you can just hit the highway and explore your country.

It's a little longer in length than I wanted. I'm planning on shortening future videos. Thanks for watching what you could though. I'm going to try and make part II shorter. There will be a lot funner stuff in part II as well. Found some trails and a few other surprises.

I am sure on a bike it’s difficult for sure without some really expensive noise cancelling equipment.
Looks like a nice ride. Must be warm if you can ride without jacket and gloves. I used to always wear them anyway. How far did you go? Seems the camera and mic are working well. Fuel has got pretty expensive here lately, but I don't need to drive much. I took the train for my work trip last week.

It was 120 miles round trip plus whatever I put on riding around the park. The weather was absolutely perfect. It's unseasonable warm here right now.
The new camera is working out great so far, and trying to improve sound with every video :)
Fuel prices are going up here too. One of the things I love about a motorcycle and miles per gallon!
I seen online that there are fuel shortages there and long lines for gas? Is that still going on?
I wish Buffalo had a better subway system, I'd probably use it more. They have a decent bus system, but the bus drives me batty.

I think the queues for fuel have gone now. It was largely an issue with lack of tanker drivers. When people start panic buying it just gets worse.
