Buenos días para mis amigos, ya corre un poco más de la mitad de febrero, y este café mañanero me ha hecho pensar en los resultados de las ventas para los festejos de San Valentín.
No puedo más que agradecer, no tenía pronóstico alguno porque días antes el país entró en la mayor inflación de nuestra historia. Mientras muchos producían sin saber si venderían, yo me propuse producir solo encargos. Y vendí más que lo previso.
Este proceso me hizo reflexionar en que mi proyecto es algo cercano a un hobby- emprendimiento con ansias de lograr un negocio rentable.
Para mí, el emprendimiento es un acto de dar a luz una idea. No se trata solo de montar una empresa, sino de identificar una chispa, una solución a un problema o una belleza que otros no ven, y tener el coraje de darle forma.
Es un camino que requiere persistencia para caer y levantarse, y la creatividad para construir un puente entre lo que queremos y un receptor. Emprender es, en esencia, materializar un sueño con nuestras propias manos, asumiendo el miedo como compañero de viaje, para crear algo con propósito que trascienda lo económico y deje una huella auténtica.
Entonces puede ser que #Hive o mi pastelería tengan ribetes de emprendimiento, sin embargo son un hobby con remuneración. Todo se evalúa en dependencia al estado de nuestras finanzas, la mía, aunque agradecida por vuestro apoyo y a los encargos, no me llevarán nunca a la riqueza.
Un negocio rentable es el que más dinero genera, el que aporta valor de forma sostenible mientras me permite dormir tranquila porque hasta se produce solo.
La rentabilidad real incluye el bienestar, el impacto en la comunidad y el equilibrio con la vida; o sea un negocio es verdaderamente rentable cuando sus ingresos permiten seguir creciendo sin perdernos en el proceso.
Un hobby remunerado es ese hermoso punto de encuentro entre el placer y la utilidad, sin embargo no siempre genera riquezas. Es esa actividad que nace del juego, de la curiosidad o de la simple necesidad de crear con las manos, pero que genera un pequeño ingreso. No es un negocio, al menos no en el sentido estricto. No hay presión de escalar, no hay metas agresivas de ventas ni planes de expansión que me quiten el sueño porque afortunadamente nadie me dio créditos.
Es, más bien, como un río que encuentra su cauce de forma natural. Lo que hago por amor al arte, de repente lo consume alguien, y esa persona me ofrecerme algo a cambio. Ese dinero no es un salario, es un reconocimiento, como un valor de cambio.
Lo hermoso del hobby remunerado es que conserva la ingenuidad del disfrute. Si un día no me apetece, no lo hago. Si una propuesta no me inspira, la rechazo.
El ingreso es agradable, sin metas. Me permite invertir en mejores materiales, en un curso que siempre quise hacer, o simplemente darme un capricho. Pero el centro sigue siendo el disfrute, es trabajar con las manos y el corazón, y descubrir que, a veces, lo que amas también puede sostenerte un poquito, sin llegar a definirte ni atraparte.
Me gustaría fuera un verdadero negocio, aunque esta palabra es un estigma en mi cultura y un verdadero desafio.

When Hobby, Entrepreneurship, and Business Dance Together
Good morning to my friends, we're already a little past the middle of February, and this morning coffee has made me think about the Valentine's Day sales results.
I can only be grateful; I had no forecast whatsoever because days earlier the country entered the highest inflation in our history. While many produced without knowing if they would sell, I set out to only produce custom orders. And I sold more than expected.
This process made me reflect that my project is something close to a hobby-entrepreneurship with aspirations of achieving a profitable business.
For me, entrepreneurship is an act of giving birth to an idea. It's not just about starting a company, but about identifying a spark, a solution to a problem, or a beauty that others don't see, and having the courage to shape it.
It's a path that requires persistence to fall and get back up, and the creativity to build a bridge between what we want and a receiver. Entrepreneurship is, in essence, materializing a dream with our own hands, accepting fear as a travel companion, to create something with purpose that transcends the economic and leaves an authentic mark.
So it may be that #Hive or my pastry shop have traces of entrepreneurship, however they are a hobby with compensation.
Everything is evaluated depending on the state of our finances; mine, although grateful for your support and for the custom orders, will never lead me to wealth.
A profitable business is the one that generates the most money, the one that provides value sustainably while allowing me to sleep peacefully because it almost runs itself.
Real profitability includes well-being, impact on the community, and balance with life; that is, a business is truly profitable when its income allows us to continue growing without losing ourselves in the process.
A remunerated hobby is that beautiful meeting point between pleasure and utility, however it doesn't always generate wealth. It's that activity born from play, curiosity, or the simple need to create with one's hands, but which generates a small income. It's not a business, at least not in the strict sense. There's no pressure to scale, no aggressive sales goals or expansion plans that keep me up at night because fortunately no one gave me loans.
It's rather like a river that naturally finds its course. What I do for the love of it, someone suddenly consumes, and that person wants to offer me something in return. That money isn't a salary, it's recognition, a kind of exchange value.
The beauty of the remunerated hobby is that it preserves the innocence of enjoyment. If one day I don't feel like it, I don't do it. If a proposal doesn't inspire me, I reject it. The income is pleasant, without goals.
It allows me to invest in better materials, in a course I always wanted to take, or simply treat myself. But the center remains enjoyment. It's working with my hands and heart, and discovering that sometimes, what you love can also sustain you a little bit, without defining you or trapping you.
I wish it were a real business, although this word is a stigma in my culture and a true challenge.
