En un emprendimiento, como en la construcción de una ciudad, los senderos los marca el pueblo, dígase el cliente. De ellos debemos tomar modos y criterios que aportan tanto como una receta.
Ayer una clienta me envió este mensaje a propósito de su pedido. Honestamente fue un reto, porque quería un pastel de cumpleaños y mis pasteles los tengo concebidos para postres o algún café o desayuno. Pero cada cual dice lo que desea y el creador pone su empeño.
La pastelería es de certezas y balanzas, pero es también de explorar, porque a veces no tenemos todo cuanto necesitamos para lograr la perfección. Soy de las que teme humedecer la masa si no me lo han pedido, pero nuestro saber nos dice qué es lo que va en cada caso. Esta clienta me pidió bien húmedo y no le dije que no, pero temí que luego, al revestir con chocolate y dulce de leche, el resultado no fuese el mejor.
Y así fue: un pastel húmedo con sabor a leche condensada, con relleno de chocolate y coco y los adornos sugeridos. Luego de la entrega estuve ansiosa por saber si le gustó o no. Siempre me pasa, además de mi tendencia ansiosa; no me desprendo de mi producto hasta que me han dado algún criterio.
Amigas como Anaibis hacen la diferencia en este camino que deseamos trazar. Ella me hizo un encargo y me pidió que lo llevara, así conversábamos y bebíamos un café. Pero su verdadero plan estaba por suceder: como se supone que no puedo probar el pastel ya como producto terminado, pues ella fue el vínculo para que lo hiciera. Y así fue, luego del almuerzo, el café con el pastel.
Con la grata compañía de Enma y Anaibis, degusté mi propio pastel en un ambiente de amistad y de análisis. Se trataba de una cata. Allí me percaté de qué sabores y texturas debía realzar y cuáles estaban bien.
Esa oportunidad y colaboración de crecimiento se tiene de verdaderos amigos que desean vernos triunfar. Ese apoyo lo he tenido de mi familia, especialmente de Lisa, tan necesario porque el camino del emprendedor es intrínsecamente incierto y solitario.
Más allá del conocimiento técnico o financiero, la travesía exige una fortaleza emocional que a menudo se subestima. La presión constante, el miedo al fracaso y la carga de las decisiones pueden nublar el juicio y llevar al desgaste.
Por ello, el apoyo emocional no es un lujo, sino un pilar estratégico. Una red de confianza que proporciona un espacio seguro para validar dudas, gestionar la frustración y celebrar los avances. Esta contención no solo preserva la salud mental del emprendedor, sino que le permite mantener la claridad, la resiliencia y la perspectiva necesarias para trazar y seguir un camino correcto, sostenible en el tiempo.

Charting Paths in Entrepreneurship

In a business venture, as in the construction of a city, the paths are marked by the people, that is to say, the customer. From them, we must adopt ways and criteria that contribute as much as a recipe.
Yesterday, a client sent me this message regarding her order. Honestly, it was a challenge because she wanted a birthday cake, and my cakes are conceived as desserts or for coffee or breakfast. But everyone states their desire, and the creator puts in their effort.
Pastry is about certainties and scales, but it's also about exploration because sometimes we don't have everything we need to achieve perfection. I am one of those who fears making the batter too moist if it hasn't been requested, but our knowledge tells us what works in each case. This client asked for it very moist, and I didn't say no, but I feared that later, when coating it with chocolate and dulce de leche, the result might not be the best.
And so it was: a moist cake with a condensed milk flavor, filled with chocolate and coconut, and the suggested decorations. After the delivery, I was anxious to know if she liked it or not. This always happens to me, in addition to my anxious tendency; I don't let go of my product until I've received some feedback.
Friends like Anaibis make the difference on this path we wish to chart. She placed an order with me and asked me to deliver it, so we chatted and had coffee. But her real plan was yet to happen: since I'm not supposed to taste the cake as a finished product, she became the link for me to do so. And so it was, after lunch, coffee with the cake.
In the pleasant company of Enma and Anaibis, I tasted my own cake in an atmosphere of friendship and analysis. It was a tasting. There, I realized which flavors and textures I should enhance and which ones were just right.
That opportunity and growth collaboration comes from true friends who want to see us succeed. I have had that support from my family, especially from Lisa, so necessary because the entrepreneur's path is intrinsically uncertain and lonely.
Beyond technical or financial knowledge, the journey demands an emotional strength that is often underestimated. The constant pressure, the fear of failure, and the weight of decisions can cloud judgment and lead to burnout.
Therefore, emotional support is not a luxury, but a strategic pillar. A network of trust that provides a safe space to validate doubts, manage frustration, and celebrate progress. This support not only preserves the mental health of the entrepreneur but also allows them to maintain the clarity, resilience, and perspective necessary to chart and follow a correct, sustainable path over time.

Hola Iris bonita. Me alegro que tu emprendimiento vaya viento en popa, la verdad es que esas panetelas se ven increíbles. Hace algunas publicaciones vengo leyéndote y me encanta tu emprendimiento, me siento súper identificada, también amo la repostería. Hace algún tiempo se me dañó mi merenguera y en estos momentos solo me estoy dedicando a realizar pasteles, polvorones, torticas, no se bien cómo se le conozca en tu provincia.
Me identifica mucho la parte de cuando dudabas o no en comenzar y me alegra cantidad cantidad que hayas roto el hielo,💪🏽
Nunca he hecho panetelas para vender, pero siempre hago en casa y todos me embullan para que comercialice, para los cumples en la familia y tal si he hecho, pero bueno, será que aún me quedan nervios por ahí del si gustará, quizás sea eso.
Me gustaría preguntarte si tienes merenguera y si horneas directamente en el horno, siempre he usado una olla, tengo horno, en cambio nunca he probado ahí. También he aprendido de forma empírica, tomé como base una receta y de ahí e ido variando en dependencia de lo que tenga a mano y la calidad de mis materiales.
Sigue dejando muchos consejos, me han sido muy útiles.
