Película Hambre De Poder / El Fundador:
Es un film lanzado en el año 2016, pero fue en el 2021 que mi esposo y yo la vimos. Nos impactó mucho pues hacía un año que habíamos emprendido con nuestro negocio de ventas de hamburguesas y estábamos bastante susceptibles pues diferentes personas se nos habían acercado con el fin de ser nuestros "socios" y nuestro instinto nos decía que no debíamos aceptar. Después de ver la película Hambre de Poder o El Fundador, como es llamada también, nos dimos cuenta de que nuestro instinto nos había ayudado a no caer en una red de engatusadores.
La película se basa en la historia de los hermanos McDonald, Dick y Mac, quienes emprendieron con una hamburguesería que además ofrecía malteadas y papas fritas. Un vendedor de licuadoras frustrado de 52 años (Ray Kroc) da con ellos cuando le compran varias licuadoras (Para las malteadas que ofrecían) y descubre que los hermanos habían creado un sistema que prometía entregar los pedidos en muy poco tiempo.
Acá hago un paréntesis para comentar lo mucho que nos sorprendió a mi esposo y a mí la técnica de ensayo y error que utilizaron los hermanos McDonald, para crear el sistema que por fin funcionó a la perfección y que hoy en día todavía es usado en las franquicias McDonalds. Resulta que ellos crearon una forma rápida de ir cocinando y ensamblando las hamburguesas sin que cada estación de preparado interrumpiera o le estorbara a otra estación. Idearon también un sistema estándar de preparación donde cada hamburguesa tenía la misma cantidad de ingredientes cada una, incluso las cantidades de kétchup, mostaza, pepinillos y mayonesa eran la misma. Y lo que es mejor el servicio era muy rápido y podían entregar muchas hamburguesas en cuestión de minutos.
El personaje basado en la vida real Ray Kroc, demostró mucha suspicacia y gran inteligencia a la hora de buscar oportunidades, él se asoció con los hermanos y luego de tratar de convencer a muchos inversionista escuchó el consejo de un contador quien le dijo que lo mejor no era enfocarse en la venta de hamburguesas sino que debía comprar terrenos para hacer franquicias y ganar dinero con los bienes raíces. Este hombre llevó a cabo todas esas ideas y terminó llevando las hamburguesas McDonalds a más de 17 estados. Se sintió poderoso y se convenció a sí mismo de que él éxito de la hamburguesería se debía a él.
Les entregó un cheque en blanco a los hermanos y terminó comprándoles su idea, su hamburguesería y el fruto de sus esfuerzos. Se convirtió incluso en el dueño del nombre de la hamburguesería McDonalds, por lo que los hermanos debieron cambiarle el nombre.
Una de las cosas cumbre de la película, que realmente no sé si en vida real pasó, fue que el empresario Ray Kroc, colocó una de sus sucursales McDonalds justo al frente de la hamburguesería de los antiguos dueños y esto terminó por arruinarles pues el público prefirió ir a la hamburguesería que estaba de moda y que iba creciendo a pasos agigantados.
¿Qué aprendí?
Aprendí que la perseverancia es una herramienta sumamente importante. Que no hay que tener miedo a experimentar y a ir por más, que hay que cuidarse de con "Quién" se hacen negocios y a "Quién" se puede tomar como socio. Que crear sistemas que beneficien el funcionamiento de tu empresa es favorecedor. Y que a veces no debemos permitir que otros intenten cambiar nuestras convicciones.
¿Qué entendí?
Qué aunque parezca una historia injusta, estamos ante una muestra de lo que es ser visionario. El personaje de Ray Kroc vio una gran oportunidad de negocio en aquella hamburguesería, una visión que los hermanos MCDonalds no tuvieron y por eso se quedaban estancados. Tenían un diamante en bruto y el empresario le supo sacar brillo.
Esta película se puede ver en Netflix, los invito a buscarla y disfrutarla, tiene mucho aprendizajes en ella. Traté de contar solo algunas cosas para que puedan verla si aún no la han visto.

Greetings friends of this community of visionaries and entrepreneurs, Be Entrepreneur. Today I am here to participate in a contest that got me excited as soon as I read its title. We are challenged to share that movie that has left us with multiple lessons learned and whose main theme is the impulse of entrepreneurship.

Hunger For Power / The Founder movie:
It is a film released in 2016, but it was in 2021 that my husband and I saw it. We were very shocked because we had just started our burger business a year ago and we were quite sensitive because different people had approached us to be our "partners" and our instinct told us that we should not accept. After watching the movie Hunger for Power or The Founder, as it is also called, we realized that our instinct had helped us not to fall into a network of tricksters.
The movie is based on the story of the McDonald brothers, Dick and Mac, who started a burger joint that also offered milkshakes and fries. A frustrated 52-year-old blender salesman (Ray Kroc) catches up with them when they buy several blenders from him (for the milkshakes they offered) and discovers that the brothers had created a system that promised to deliver the orders in a very short time.
Here I digress to comment on how surprised my husband and I were by the trial and error technique that the McDonald brothers used to create the system that finally worked perfectly and is still used today in McDonalds franchises. It turns out that they created a quick way to cook and assemble the burgers without each preparation station interrupting or getting in the way of another station. They also devised a standard preparation system where each burger had the same amount of ingredients each, even the amounts of ketchup, mustard, pickles and mayonnaise were the same. And what's better the service was very fast and they could deliver many burgers in a matter of minutes.
The character based on real life Ray Kroc, showed a lot of suspicion and great intelligence when looking for opportunities, he partnered with the brothers and after trying to convince many investors he listened to the advice of an accountant who told him that the best thing was not to focus on selling hamburgers but he should buy land to make franchises and make money with real estate. This man carried out all these ideas and ended up taking McDonalds hamburgers to more than 17 states. He felt powerful and convinced himself that the hamburger success was due to him.
He handed the brothers a blank check and ended up buying their idea, their burger joint and the fruits of their efforts. He even became the owner of the name of the McDonalds burger joint, so the brothers had to rename it.
One of the highlights of the movie, which I really don't know if it happened in real life, was that the businessman Ray Kroc, placed one of his McDonalds branches right in front of the hamburger restaurant of the former owners and this ended up ruining them because the public preferred to go to the hamburger restaurant that was fashionable and that was growing by leaps and bounds.
What did I learn?
I learned that perseverance is an extremely important tool. That you should not be afraid to experiment and go for more, that you have to be careful of "Who" you do business with and "Who" you can take as a partner. That creating systems that benefit the operation of your company is beneficial. And that sometimes we should not allow others to try to change our convictions.
What did I understand?
That although it may seem an unfair story, this is an example of what it means to be a visionary. Ray Kroc's character saw a great business opportunity in that hamburger restaurant, a vision that the MCDonalds brothers did not have and that is why they remained stagnant. They had a diamond in the rough and the entrepreneur knew how to polish it.
This movie can be seen on Netflix, I invite you to look for it and enjoy it, it has a lot of learnings in it. I tried to tell just a few things so you can watch it if you haven't seen it yet.

Hola @lilianajimenez, qué buena recomendación, la película no la he visto, pero la historia en el mundo del emprendimiento siempre ha sido un referente, entre otras cosas porque nos presenta la dualidad, por un lado, la mentalidad y visión emprendedora y por el otro, lo ético, lo que eres capaz de hacer sin importar a quién te llevas por delante.

Hace mucho vi esta película y recuerdo muy poco de ella. Con tu publicación me has dado ganas de volver a verla, mirarla desde otro matiz ; desde el emprendimiento, tomando decisiones asertivas enfocando la idea hacia la cumbre.
