I took another day to wander around town to look and see what could be found.
I have no map to guide me and I just ride along and slowly enough to stop and see what ever catches my eyes to fallow and see.
Perhaps you can bring some clarity to this inscription that finds it self in two languages adorning the corner of the window.
I stop in this area because I see a large tree and on the ground there is tamarinds that are swept away. I stop and ask to eat some and and am encouraged to do so.
I took a few pictures of this tree and the ground littered with tamarinds that it was hard to move the bike around. But I seem to have lost these images, that seems to be the way with technology these days, so ill just say that they bounty that was found of tamarinds on the ground were a sower mouth profound time, in the shade of the tamarind tree.
Lets go have a look at the Durian by day.
This is in the center of town of Krong Kampot. It is quite a sight to see as we roll around this prickly monument.
Why not try this fruit of odd smells and talked about fleshy inside beneath the thrones.
Up close and personal. To be taken back to try tonight.
I take the fruit back to the retreat and have into it after finding a seat by the water.
I quickly find that this fruit even thought at prime time to eat, is not somethings that my body wants to continue eating.
That is alright there are many people around to share this treat with. Nothing goes to waste as a few people make quick work of the fruit. The seeds are quite something. Not something I would save as the fruit is not something I would enjoy growing.
Time to move on to the even premiere of the Durian at night. Lets take a ride over there.

Thanks. Yes it is really an intriguing fruit. It smells. Let me just say that. Not pleasant...not to me. Worth trying but not something I would ever seek out....unless I had to make a defensive wall...then the spikes would be helpful and the smell would benefit.

Lol and nope, but maybe I can find it at the "exoctic market", as I never seen it at my regular one where I shop. I will not hunt for it, but if I do see it, I will have to try it out (and maybe at someone's else house, just in case the smells stays :-D))
Yes defiantly share it before committing to a whole one. You might just like it.
I found once the fruit and husk was gone the smell was not lingering. Wash hands and all bye bye.

Kampot has changed a little since the last time I was there. Which is about 3 or 4 years ago. The Durian roundabout is still the same of course. Have a nice day there.
