Hi, I am Arveno from Surabaya city. In this content i want to share about my son condition. I dont think this is really actual bad news at all actually. But it still annoy me a little bit since this situation cannot be avoided at all especially nowdays that all human will depending on seeing screen. Yep my son having problem with his eyes in his very young age.
First of all i still proud of him that he can got a lot good grades at school.
Even though his english is not good at all. I dont know why he is not like english at all. He is terrible when learning english. It is too hard on him. And since he schooling in International school which english is the primary language. He is hardly to keep it up. Everyday is like learning and studying all day. I felt bad about his day.
And for creativity. I think he is kinda creative enough of making something. But it still not good for creativity with drawing and colouring.
And i already heard from his teacher that he cannot see clearly word in board when in class. At first i think just because he is sleepy. But, after his teacher told my wife that my son seing with tend to one of his eye, that sign that something problem with his eyes. I know this will happen soon. But, i am not prepared that this "soon" is when he is in young age. Who can handle the radiation from monitor and from phone right. Thats why i already prepared when this time happened.
So, we are going to glassess shop to check his eyes. It hardly to see what happened with his eyes since he is still a kid and cannot calm down his eye ball. He is always looking around and nervouse that make the seller hard to use this computer.
Turns out that the seller cannot make his decision since my son having some weird condition. It is very rare condition that need to check on doctor that specialist with eyes.
Yep after several times the seller check on this computer the result are similar. My son eyes having different situation. The right eyes having minus condition and the other having plus condition (this is very rare since usually this condition for old people).
Since i still hestitate about the result, i decided to take him to ophthalmologist. After several test on my son eyes. The doctor cannot give the best solution here since my son eyes condition is very rare. So, the doctor here giving recomendation to the Eyes Hospital, the biggest in my city. In this situation i already make any worst case. The worst case, my son need lasic operation that will fix his retina even though i will not take this action since many resources said that eyes can be grow and changes in line with increasing age. The doctor here said that too. And the bad case is my son need to using glassess for the rest of his life. And the good case is the doctor said that my son just need to having therapy for his eyes since my son is at growth period so his eyes can be fixed. After i told my mom. My mom just said that my son is descendants from my father that using glassess from very young ages too. Thats why my mom said that i dont need to worry about that. And until now, i still cannot goes to the Eye hospital since the place is kinda far and in the last 2 week everyday is raining. I dont want get more sick than this even now i still not recover from coughing. But lets see the result after we are going to Eye Hospital soon. Hopefully my son eyes still okay.
I can relate to your situation. I grew up in a digital family, we started using computers since 1980s, I guess I was the only kid at the primary school wearing glasses that time 😂 back in my days, the only solution was to wear glasses.
Since junior is still at his development age, maybe myopia correction exercises can help to stabilize the condition. There are many eyes exercises online you can get junior to try. Mungkin nanti boleh sembuh?
