That's a great value. We pay about that just to get Jovi's nails cut. We have a lady that comes to the house and does it for us when we need her to. I'm sure with you just being in the next room she was still able to smell you and that was probably a great comfort to her. A lot of times when we need to board Jovi we sleep with a blanket for the week before we take her. Then we leave that blanket for her while she is there. I don't know if it really helps, but it makes us feel better :)

I heard about this blanket strategy or even a shirt. The few times she had to go on a plane I would wear a shirt for a couple of days... not get it like disgusting dirty or anything but just make sure that it no longer smells like fabric softener. It does seem to bring dogs some comfort and that is just plain adorable.
Smell is so important to them, so it made a lot of sense to me.
