A day filled with challenges in life.

There are times in our lives when we face challenges, but this time is a lot different.
Hello Hive World I'm gonna be sharing with you a not-so-ordinary day for us. A day with so much to learn.

It was early on Monday morning when we had a passport appointment at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Mandaue City. We have to travel early to catch up with the nine o'clock schedule. We departed at six thirty and traffic build-up already started. It was Monday and a lot of passengers are going to the city.

When we reached south road properties the traffic was getting heavy. It was seven forty-five already. We are praying that before nine we will reach the place. Good thing we got out of traffic and when we reached Mandaue there was no traffic at that time. We reach Pacific Mall by eight forty-six.

We get out of the car and park in front of the mall. When we were about to leave we discovered that our tire at the back was flat. Despite what we see we just leave it and continue on our appointment. A long line was beginning to move forward and after a few minutes, we were inside the mall. We followed the line going to the waiting area and waited for our names to be called. It was just 30 minutes when we were called to enter the DFA office. Getting ready for all our documents so as not to take so much time on the counter.

When we reached the counter all our documents were presented. And then a note was written that I should get my local live birth certificate to clarify some letters. The same for the four of us my husband and my two sisters. We were desperate for what happened to us.

We went directly to the car to find a vulcanizing shop. The available vulcanizing shop was far from the mall. We have to run flat until we reach some motorbikers and offer help to us. So we parked and some drivers got a flat tire and changed a reserved one. But when the reserved tire was changed it was also flat and the bolts could not fit in. So they take out again but this time the reserved tire was stuck and could not be removed. A lot of drivers were helping with my husband while we were sitting in the corner.

The most awaited moment happened when an MITCOM came and he wanted us to go even on a flat tire because it caused traffic. My husband was so sad because he would be fined for parking on a busy road. The officer leads us to a tire shop where they have air to fill in our flat tire.

While our tire was filled with compressed air the officer got my husband's license and the OR/CR of our car. My husband looks at me with a sad and worried face thinking of his license. It was tough to renew if you have citations. And you will pay one thousand pesos. I asked the officer if he would issue us a citation since it was not our fault that we had a flat tire in that area. I told the officer to have considered us.

Good thing the officer is a considerate man and just looks at the papers my husband handed to him. I can see the face of my husband starting to smile. We gave the officer two hundred pesos for his lunch. At first, he did not receive it but I put it directly in his side pocket. After some information from the officer, he leads us to a vulcanizing shop to check and change the tire. Thank God everything went well. We have our ride going back home.

It was a tough day for all of us, especially my husband. But a lot of people came to help us. From the desperate feeling of not getting the passport to the drivers who left their passengers to help us to the officer who did not issue citations and to a vulcanizing shop that restores the tire. It was not an ordinary day. All we do is keep on praying that everything will be fine. Until we reach home God is before us always.

We had so much to learn on that day, we learned Patience not to react to the situation but to find ways to solve it. We went home as if nothing had happened that day knowing that everything went well. God is good that is all we can say.
Thank you for taking the time to read and may you find lessons in this blog. Have a great day everyone.
