Good news all round and having a contact in the police could help in the future. Now they are aware of you maybe they will think twice before culling plus this family will be safe as they have obviously formed a bond with the police especially as they have food to feed them now..

I would imagine that the culling is not something they do willingly. I would imagine they hire non Buddhist people to do it as well. This is one of the dirty secrets of this country as the existence of these culling crews has not been verified by anyone. It certainly isn't claimed by the government. The must exist though, there is no other way to explain the mass disappearance that all happens around the same time
