Hello my fellow Hivers!! It's been a while since I posted something in here. A lot of things happen with my life, my work life balance scenario and things most of us do. Anyways, I'm just happy to announce that, this year I get to celebrate my birthday! Yayy! I mean to say, we had a little prepared food. Yes! most of my birthday always ended with no food being prepare and i just went to our church and say a little prayer and being thankful for another year given to me.
This was my food we prepared. I mean, it's not a lot but, i'm happy. When I became a Mom, all I can think of is my family's well being so, having no food for my birthday is okay. But, for my kids birthday is another story. I usually save some money for my kids birthday. As parents, it is more important to provide for them. I cooked the food, always love cooking.
This is locally named "bam-E". This is compose of pansit bihon and pansit miki (noodles) with vegetables like carrots, cabbage and sayote. It has meat and shrimps too! The other viand is my very own version of sweet and sour spareribs. I soften the meat with coconut vinegar (tuba) i added soy sauce, oyster sauce, herbs and spices, seasoned it with salt and pepper and sugar to taste. This one honestly is really the best we had. Yum! My sister gifted me with her mini cupcakes in two flavors, the banana cupcake with cheese and the chocolate. And, for my dessert I prepared the very simple and affordable coffee gulaman dessert (it is made of gulaman/jelly and i mixed it with instant coffee powder to add a taste and color and i added some cream and condensed milk for sweetness).
Then, we had lunch with my family, just us! A simple yet very memorable birthday for me. We had a videokie after. We had a lot of fun! I sang 'till my throat sores.
Around afternoon or sunset we travel to my husbands' place and we went to their church. In there, i get the chance to talk to our God all the things He has given me after all these years. I reminisce all the years i spent in this lifetime! My hardships, my sacrifices, the things I want to achieve for my family (like a family car) we are a family of five and we cannot fit in our motorcycle. Also, I thank Him for giving me another year to be a blessing to someone too. I wish that I can also and will be able to help others too. I thank our God for my family, we struggle but, we survived. Thank you for my 37th year of existence. Let's continue our journey in this wonderful struggle called LIFE.

Belated Happy Birthday! A simple celebration with the family is the most wonderful moment of your life. The simple homemade food is the best. The Bam-e is so delicious, it never gets old, and is always present on every occasion. It's beautiful that you spent time in church reflecting and giving thanks. Happy birthday @daiyana! I totally agree with you when you said that you don't care if there is no celebration for your birthday as long as your kids have theirs. A mother's love is always selfless and unconditional, especially for her kids. I am glad that you celebrated your birthday this time; you deserved it.
