Hello everyone, Welcome to the Manticao River.
This time I tried to explore all part of manticao river but the I had a short of time only that is why only few fascinating places and photo I can only shared of.
As you can see in my first picture, I was carrying my backpack loaded with important things. It was very peaceful and calm weather when I was at the river to explore the beauty of the place.
This river is a border line between two barangays, the barangay Paniangan and Barangay Poblacion and all of this Barangays are part of Manticao. The place was filled with many stones, big and small and this is a big help for us here specially for construction porpuses such like houses and roads.
I was very happy to see that our river is very clean and many living creatures are in the said river. Last day, we experienced a big flood due to a bad weather happens to our country. We live near at the river, and honestly, it is quite dangerous for us to live here because of the flood prone areas. But we keep monitoring always if there is a flood and we are still happy to live here.
The place was filled with more grasses also. We cared for this grasses and we don't want to removed it because it helps to prevent soil erosions due to a big flood. Some people used this as their medicines but this is not to obliged the people to use it as medicine but its their choice.
Usually, this kind of grasses can only be located near at the river and it contains a fascinating and attractive flowers. This is very common in here but we let it live.
The river contains a crystal clear water, this will addens the beauty of the place. Many childrens and even adults loves to swim in this river specially during hot season or summer. People who lives far away places are also traveling and went here in our place to do picnics and or any Nature travel adventures.
We are blessed with attractive, peaceful and relaxing place. I truly appreciate also those people who knows how to take of the environment and this will give a big help to us to maintain its Beauty.
Now, lets go to the vegetation of the place. It was surrounded with many tall tress and wild plants. Some of the trees can be located here is what we called Tugas tree, one of the most hardest tree in our place and it is good for making houses.
There also varieties of bamboos near at the river and this was clearly planted near at the cliff to prevent soil erosion also.

Where is Manticao located? Is it located here in the Philippines?
Btw, the water looks calm but I just dont know what it looks like when there's a typhoon. Is it destructive?
Manticao is located in Mindanao, Philippines.
Yes, having a flood here could be very destructive. I will share this in here soon.
