RE: Update on the Tiger Cave Temple animals

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITYlast month

It’s beautiful to see that Tiger Cave Temple has unintentionally become a refuge for so many animals and even more touching to know that people like you are there to look out for them. They’re lucky to have someone who cares this much.

I think to some degree that the monks of all temples are religiously obligated to look after any animal that is dropped off there. This practice seems to exist all around the country but not all places just keep accepting more and more like Tiger Cave does. I think that all the temples in the country could really do themselves a lot of good if they would simply sterilize the females that are dropped off. That was a big part of the reason why we got involved. We hoped that the temple would notice and tell other temples or the government or something. unfortunatley, they have done nothing of the sort.

You’re right. Sterilizing the females would really help control the growing numbers. It’s sad that temples or even the government haven’t picked up on that idea yet.

They know, they aren't stupid, but I fear that they just don't care and also don't have any spare money. They are too busy spending millions and millions on things like tanks and submarines

It’s sad to see millions poured into tanks and submarines while basic compassion gets ignored.
