I recently wrote a story about a female dog that we had in our care that had a very bad case of cancer and a tumor that was so massive that it had extended to the exterior of her body and was exposed. This was resulting in not just a massive tumor but also parasite infection as well. Thankfully, the hard work is now complete and she is in recovery for a few days. Then we will begin the chemotherapy process.

It took some time to get the process complete, and the tumor was caused by TVT, which is a common type of cancer that occurs in many unsterilized dogs and cats. This is just another reason why it is so important to get your pet sterilized. The main reason of course being that the unwanted dog and cat population is out of control in most places in the world.

Sorry for the graphic image, but here you can see how bad this problem can actually get. The female was living with a great deal of pain because of this, but in the end it would have almost certainly been parasite infection, not the cancer itself, that would have killed her. She is all patched up now and is clean but not quite ready to rejoin her society.

She is going to have to stay at the clinic for a while as we monitor both the healing wound and begin the chemotherapy sessions. It can be a bit tricky to perform regular chemo sessions on a stray dog because they tend to wander and not stay in one place and if we can't find them, we can't treat them. Boarding costs are kept to a minimum here in Krabi, but it still isn't free and as usual our funding is dangerously low.
We still do all that we can for all the sick and injured animals of the region though, and we won't allow something like lack of money get in the way of our pledge to always do this. Unfortunately, it does mean that we have to perform a triage of sorts and sadly have to ignore some cases while focusing on others.
Our mission remains the same though: We will continue to assist and relieve the suffering of the stray animal population of Krabi as much as we possibly can.

The battle of funding is never over. Glad it turnout pretty well for this girl, still 499999 to go! Upvote as support. Every little bit counts
Thanks buddy! Your continued support is appreciated.
So kind of you giving another chance to the dog even if it is not yours. My mother's dog lost its scrotum last month but he is doing better even without a vet's help.
That is very fortunate that the dog was able to recover without medical assistance. Dogs are very tough creatures, that's for sure.
yeah they are tough just like my mother. Anyway, my mother bought medicines for him, she just asked the store, whatever to call that store nad they advised he these and that and it all worked
I am very happy to hear that things worked out well for the pet!
Yeah, he is doing welln now
I hope she recovers fast :(
She must have felt too much pain. I hope she'll get over this cancer sooner.
I was emotional reading your blog. This act of kindness brings magic to the dog's life.
May you will continue spreading love, especially to the stray dogs that need love and care. Thank you for the kindness and may this will not fade.
Thanks for that. We do enjoy our work to the point where it doesn't even feel like work for all of us involved!
It seems that your pet dog is very fond of fatty foods that contain acids and this is very dangerous if you don't control it in giving it nutrition, I'm concerned to see condition
Well it isn't our dog so we don't really know what it eats. Seeing as how it is a stray it probably eats whatever it can get.
