Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. October there are northern Thai traditional festival held at temples in northern Thailand. A tradition that inherit for hundreds of years old. Each temples in villages holds this northern Thai traditional festival on a different day too. Today it's held at a temple in the village near my village. My wife and I were looking for an activity for our granddaughter today. So my wife and I took my granddaughter to visit this northern Thai traditional festival. This temple is called Wat Dong Pa Lan. This temple is a temple for religious ceremonies of the people in Dong Pa Lan village. And this village is next to our village. My wife and I sent our son to school first and go home. Then around 9:00 a.m. we traveled to the temple.
The atmosphere of our journey to Wat Dong Pa Lan. When we arrived at Dong Pa Lan village, we went through the narrow streets of the village to go to the temple. It will be the view of a local farms.
When we arrived at the temple, we stopped to pay respect to the buddha images in the buddha image hall (viharn) first. But in this northern Thai traditional festival, when the local people of the village arrive at the temple, they will give the offering dedicated to the monks and pay respect to the buddha images in the buddha image hall (viharn) first.
Then we walked around and enjoyed vibe of the temple and this northern Thai traditional festival.
There are northern Thai traditional dance shows, Thai nail dance shows and other shows from the morning until almost noon. They are the shows to worship buddhism and inherit northern thai traditions.
In the northern Thai traditional festival at this temple, there are also shops. And a mini amusement park for children. So we stopped for snacks and drinks. And my granddaughter wants to play in the mini amusement park too. It is a favorite place for children who come to this festival.
And everyone will enjoy the shows until noon. After lunch in the afternoon there will be a religious ceremony. But we go home before noon. So we didn't get to see the religious ceremonies and the vibe in the afternoon. Finally a video of the vibe at this morning's northern Thai traditional festival.
