Hello everyone.
Today I share and introduce buddhist temples of tai yai people in thailand. This temple is called wat pho thong. Wat pho thong is a tai yai temple with tai yai architecture and sculptures. This is another beautiful tai yai temple in Fang District.
Wat pho thong is located in ban lan village mon pin subdistrict, fang district, chiang mai province, thailand. This temple is near the thai-myanmar border. Chiang mai - fang route.
This temple is on a hill that is not high. When me and my wife arrived at this temple. We have to park below. And we have to walk up the stairs decorated with 4 - headed color gold king of Nagas. To go up to the top of the hill where this temple is located.
When me and my wife go up the stairs to the top area. We will find a beautiful tai yai art sanctuary. And the tai yai art sanctuary is the only architecture within this temple. There is also a pagoda. I know information from the internet. But we couldn't find the pagoda. So I didn't take a picture of the pagoda of this temple.
Inside this sanctuary there is a buddha image of tai yai art. Buddha image of this tai yai art is the president of this temple. And there are 2 more Buddha statues on the side. Which all the buddha images are beautiful.
Most of the area surrounding the wat pho thong temple is a garden with large trees. And some areas within the temple are under construction.
Around the temple we can see the view. Scenery and atmosphere around the outside of the temple are ban lan villages and high mountains. Which I guess if crossing some of these high mountains will be the border of Burma, but i'm not sure.
Wat pho thong was established as a temple in A.D. 1940. This temple is open to visit the temple every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
