Hello everyone.😊 Welcome to my post again. This post, I will share and take everyone to see the sacred places on a mountain in my district. And village and nature views fram a mountain lookout. This sacred place is called Wat Phra That Mon Pin or Wat Phra That Si Maha Phot Photharam.
Brief information about Wat Phra That Mon Pin. This temple is a temple without royal bound Buddhist stone and the temple that have not yet received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree. There is no information as to when the temple was built. But I think it's an old temple.
In the past, Wat Phra That Mon Pin was located in Mon Pin Subdistrict. But in 1991, so this temple was located in Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict. Because the Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict was newly established. And separated from Mon Pin Subdistrict. The location of the temple is therefore in Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict.

My wife and I's journey to the temple. On this trip, we visited this temple last month. The temple is about 24 kilometers from our house and is located on a mountain. I drove to this temple from my house on the rural road. Of course, this time I shared some of the atmosphere on the way from home to the temple with everyone too.

When we reached the mountain where the temple is located. We had to travel on the road winds over the plateau to get to this temple. Before reaching the top of the mountain where the temple is located. We see the temple's stupa first. This stupa is in the forested area of the mountain. The old stupa has been renovated. Inside this stupa are the relics of the Lord Buddha too. This stupa is therefore important for buddhists.

When we reached the top of the mountain. The interesting things of this temple are the sculptures and the view. Especially the large buddha image which is beautiful and outstanding. This buddha image can be seen from a long distance below. And the foundation of this large buddha image is also a large room.

The stairs leading up to the large buddha image are serpent stairs, which are also outstanding. Because it is a 5-headed serpent statue.

When we walked up to the large buddha image. On the foundation and behind the large buddha image are many small pavilions and various statues.

Another interesting highlight of this temple is the village and nature views fram this mountain lookout. But unfortunately, that day there was pollution and smog in this area. Therefore we cannot see the view below clearly. Which is a village in Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict, local farms and mountains. If there is no pollution and smog. The scenery in this area is very beautiful. My wife and I planned to visit the temple to see the view again when there was no smog.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
