Lots and lots of plants are being sold at the local market. It's such a vibrant scene! Good morning, everyone! Happy Saturday to all. What are your plans for the weekend? Perhaps a visit to a local market yourself? The energy and variety of fresh produce and plants are always uplifting. Having plants at home can be quite a rewarding hobby. At times, we stare at the screen so much that a change of what we see in nature, which is different, is something amazing. The green and the fresh air.
I went to the local market here in Miri to look for some new plants to get for my home. This seller lives across the street from my house. For as long as I have known her, she has been here selling her plants.
Recently, in the last few months, I've been too busy with stuff around work. At the moment, I am a bit freer. So, one of the best things to do on a free day is to do some gardening. Cactus is one of the best types of beginner-friendly plants that I love to take care of.
I have been eyeing the Astrophytum species for quite a while. The ones in the picture are white in colour and round in shape.
There are so many different types of plants that are sold here.
This lady sells her plants at an affordable price. There are not many dedicated plant sellers here in Miri.
After looking at all the plants, it was time to get back home and do some gardening. One of the plants that my wife bought a couple of months ago suddenly looked like it was slowly dying. Not sure if the soil is too wet or there is another factor that I have not seen at all.
Plants are strange in some ways. At a particular season, a whole bunch of healthy-looking plants of the same type can suddenly just die off with no apparent reason.
What I am going to do with this plant is to wash everything and repot it. Maybe split into different pots to see if it can still live on somehow. Will be updating that in a future post.

I also love succulent plants and also cacti; I really enjoy seeing those little plants
The market in Miri sounds so lively and full of color. I can almost imagine the fresh scent of plants and soil in the air. Gardening really is a peaceful and rewarding way to spend your free time.

The cactus are soo beautiful. And as you mention they sold it for affordable price. I can imagine myself buying plants like that maybe I can buy more specially if the price is affordable.
