Wishing all ASEAN hivers and fellow hivers worldwide a blessed day!
This hot Thursday morning when my hubby and his brother decided to set up the pole for our internet connection.

They are placing the tall bamboo pole, anticipating the internet provider's installation visit.

As for me, my mission is to become the spokesperson of the operation.
I am the one knocking at our neighbors' door, politely asking if they would allow us to place the pole in the shared area.
Thankfully, everyone was supportive.
One thing we observed here in the Philippines while working was the cut internet cables lying messily and tangled.
They were old lines that the PNR police once cut, now hanging dangerously and serving no purpose.

So without hesitation, we decided to remove the unnecessary wires.

Wanting the area to look safer and cleaner, especially since our new line would be installed there.
Carefully, my hubby and his brother untangled and cleared the mess.

--
Saturday arrived. My phone rang and it was the internet provider we had applied to.
He's asking me where our location is.
Carefully, I gave him directions on where to go, what our landmark was, and so on.
Until I spotted him approaching.
After that, he started checking the lines.
Hubby and his brother were already excited, as they worked so hard on the bamboo pole.
But then...
When the technician brought out their tools, they were installing them on the opposite side.

He said that it's safe for the train.
So, they didn't use the bamboo pole we set up! 🤦🏼♀️
But then, their decision made perfect sense.
It was much safer, away from the train line.
As the technician climbed up the pole, an elderly man from the nearby house raised his voice, stating he wouldn't allow them to connect there.
So the technician paused, unsure of what to do.
He told me the problem, and so I approached the old man with respect.
I suggested another option, which is to put the bamboo pole that we set up last time on the other side.
But even that didn't soften him.
He said that he will repair his garage, and that will just complicate the work.
There was nothing more we could do. We don't want to argue and force him.
I looked at the technician, but he reassured me that there's another way.
He checked the neighboring pole, inspected it carefully, and got right to work.

Hubby and his brother stood by, ready to assist whenever needed.
And after connecting the wires and testing the modem, finally, the signal turned green.

Our internet connection was restored.
FINALLY!
Even with the obstacles coming out of nowhere, we kept going so now we're online. 🌷
Until our next accomplishments...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
