You may not remember me. I used to be very active in the Chinese community back in 2018, and I do read a few of your posts after seeing you rewarding some of our Chinese fellow steemians.
I did get the kind of "unfairness" treatment feeling that point of time, but as I grow older and dive into this deeper, moreover I myself investing money into buying steem sometimes ago, I started to realize it's all about how we value our work.
When I was a bigger fish with a decent amount of SP, I started to realized even bigger fishes came and drop me some nice votes, and I kinda felt the need for reciprocate vote towards them, and subsequently I have lesser voting power for my fellow supporters and friends. It totally makes sense when I face the kinda dilemma, I'm either continue supporting the big shots, so they can continue to support me, or I will be wasting too much energy in blessing the smaller users that probably withdrawing their SBD on a weekly basis.
One again, there is no right or wrong. As a fiat investor, it's up to us to properly utilize our investment and take our reward. As an author, it's up to the author who they engaged with and how they contribute to the society. It's their money, they can do whatever they want. It's my money invested in the platform, it's up to me to vote who I wanted. Standing in your shoe, who are they to question the job you're doing, right?
In the name of decentralisation, Hive have becoming a one the kind of decentralised land, where a bunch of high net worth "witnesses" becoming their own king, deciding the direction within the pack, and that's so called decentralised.
In the end, it all depending on how we manage our emotion towards the people around here. Why not forget about the haters, and continue the great work by continuous sharing wonderful content. There's an old saying goes, when you can't fight them, join them.
