Today I witnessed something completely unexpected. What started as a normal rainfall suddenly turned into a flood that submerged several streets. The water rose so quickly that people had to adjust their activities in a very short amount of time.
I recorded everything so that you can see the real situation happening in our area. I hope this video gives a clearer picture of what we are experiencing here.
Hello everyone in the beloved Hive community,
My city and all the residents here have been affected by a major flood that caused panic and disruption in our daily activities.
The continuous heavy rain from November 22 to December 26 caused the river to overflow, resulting in a massive flood in our area. What we initially thought would be just a regular flood turned out to be one of the worst disasters we have ever faced.
I also documented some moments during the flood so that you can see the real situation we are dealing with. I hope this post can raise awareness and give an update about what is happening in our community.
Our city has often been prone to flooding because the facilities and infrastructure built by the government are still inadequate. However, this time the situation was completely different. This was a major flood that took lives, destroyed property, and seriously affected people’s health.
Many residents were trapped in their homes for days and experienced hunger because they had no access to the roads to go out and find food. Almost all routes were cut off by the rising water.
My friend and I, as young people who are still strong and able to help, decided to go out with a car to look for food for our families and for the people around us who needed it.
We, the people in our community, truly hope for any help from friends wherever you are. We feel embarrassed to ask, but we have no other choice because so many children and families are in urgent need.
For several days, we had no electricity, no lights, and no signal at all. Thankfully, as of yesterday, the network and electricity have started to come back.
I recorded this video directly using my phone. For the narration, I used ElevenLabs to make the audio clearer and more pleasant to listen to. I edited the entire video using the CapCut app to ensure everything was presented as smoothly as possible.
