Hello Hivers @aseanhive community, I'm good and I hope your all good. Today I'm gonna share to you how we dried coconuts manually to make it coconut oil.
I apologize of having silenced in the past few days , cause of no internet connection in the province. Lots of landslide happened and now it still continuing to clean up those roadsides.
At early 6:30 am, the sun has not yet been seen in the plaza, so I prepare the tarpaulin. We use it to display the coconut flesh. The purpose of this is to make it easy to take off when it rains, so we bring it directly or carry it. After laying it out, I arrange it one by one, because it is better to do this when the sun is not yet out so that you will not be hot. While I was displaying it, my uncle kept delivering the coconut flesh, because he was the one my mother bribed to carry it. So while displaying the coconut flesh, others kept coming. I reached 4 hours of displaying it and it was inevitable that I would also be exposed to the sun. I was sweating profusely, as if I had just exercised, but there were many sitting positions (Lol).

Exactly 10:45 am when I finished spreading it, my feet and hands were tingling and the coconut moisture was still sticky on my hands, the stickiness was almost impossible to remove. But it was worth it, because this is what I really want to help my mother with. This is really my goal, to help her as her eldest child.

We reached 5 to 6 days of lifting, it was really challenging. Sadly the sunlight was not good, it was still gloomy for 3 to 4 hours before the sun appeared and then it was cloudy. Then the two of us panicked as we lifted the coconut flesh. Yes, you heard it right, it was just the two of us, after all, it was all women who really showed off their strength that we didn't expect (Lol). We were carrying it together, actually it was normal for me and my mother. Women here in the province lift heavy things so it was really easy. Almost a week of lifting, thank you and it's over, it's ready to be sold in the city because that's where people buy copra.

Copra, mostly common main livelihood here in the province. In May, this is what they do, they farm, extract the flesh and peel it, they can also cook it so it is easier to dry and sell. It is made into coconut oil, coconut is really important in society. Everything just needs to be processed, because they are bribed from coconut farming, collecting, extracting the coconut husk, transporting it, extracting the flesh, and peeling it, everything here on the farm is not easy, I would say it is difficult.

When we put it in the sack, we had four sacks of copra. When Mama sold it, all the copra was 75 kilos, 46 per kilo. She was so happy because she was going home with rice and groceries. That was a big deal for a single mother farmer. She gave me money because I helped her, I didn't accept it, I said Mama, just give it to your grandchildren and buy biscuits, or just a food. She was so happy, my children were happy also. I helped Mama, I didn't ask her anything, I was happy with what I was doing just for her. That's the reality of farmers in the fields, it's not easy for all of us here, especially for small farmers. So just appreciate all the products that come from the life and sweat of a farmer.
My apology if I can't response some of the comments you drop from this post. Literally it's hard to find some cignal this time. Needed your some consideration and understanding. Till next time , have a nice day everyone.

You're awesome Sis. you're welcome too
Thanks for sharing, so 1 kg is 45 php? It's very affordable.
Yes it's very cheap to sell. It's not worth it for all the sweat and is not enough, especially with the cost of workers' wages to get those coconuts.
Very resilient, if no power and internet, you and your family still has source of income, keep fighting 💕💕💕
Yes I do , that our only source. Thanks for the compliment, have a nice day friend.
