I am proud to present that I am one of those 11 participants of the first ever Live High Cebu Retreat with the theme Sangpit which means to call. It was held in Betania Retreat House located at Nivel Hills,Lahug, Cebu City.
Overview:
CYP stands for Christ's Young Professionals, the evangelistic outreach unit of BCBP composed of Single Young Professionals whose goal is to bring other young professionals closer to God.
BCBP stands for Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals. It is a community of like-minded Christian businessmen and professionals with the vision of bringing Christ into the marketplace and winning the marketplace for Christ.
BCBP advocacy is BE HONEST - Even if others are not, even if others will not, even if others cannot.
My BCBP Journey
August 6, 2022
I was invited to join BCBP breakfast from 8:00-9:00 am at Harold's Hotel. That was my first ever Saturday breakfast with BCBP community. It was an overwhelming experience. Everyone are so welcoming. I feel like I am at home even I am a bit shy. 😁❤️🤗 The community eat breakfast together, praise and worship God together, listen to the sharers, welcomes new breakfasters like me and mingle with each other.

For the second time around, I was invited to join Saturday BCBP Breakfast at same venue Harold's Hotel. It's a great feeling hearing life stories of the sharers. It makes me feel, I belong to the community even I am not an official member yet.
From that very moment while having breakfast, I was invited again to join the CLP39 that started for 3 weeks already. CLP39 stands for Christian Life Program Batch 39, the starting point of the young businessmen and professionals in joining the community. There's a CLP course every Saturday from 1:00-4:00pm at IEC3 to be completed to become officially member of BCBP.
Praise God! I am able to complete the CLP39 course and I become officially member of BCBP community. I am joining gatherings and activities like Frist Friday Mass, Assembly Meeting, Action Group Meetings and other activities.

The graduation ceremony for the CLP39 held at Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu from 4:00-9:00pm. It is the encounter with the Lord. ❤️🙏 I am beyond blessed becoming part of the community.
From then on, I am attending activities of the community. There are times I can't attend some activities due to conflict of schedules. So far, I am doing my very best to be active in the community.
Right now, we have new venue for the Saturday BCBP breakfast which is at the 2nd floor of Quencentennial Hotel adjacent to Landers Cebu.

April 21-23, 2023 - 3 Days CYP Live High 1 Cebu Retreat ❤️

Thank you Lord for calling me. I am beyond grateful being one of the chosen 11. The first ever Cebu CYP Live High is a success. Glory to You oh Lord! ❤️🙏
During the day one of the Retreat, the participants including myself was welcomed with so much joy by the servants. 🫂🤗 Their warm welcomes and smiles makes us more comfortable and influence us to have an enjoyable and
memorable stay.
As I enter the venue is the registration, picture taking, and assistance going to the room assigned for the 3 days stay as well as the snacks served as they welcome the participants. I occupied room 216.
While the program not yet started, I go out from my room and go down to roam around and check the venue. I took some pictures while roaming around.
Before the program started, we eat first our dinner at the canteen and was lead with a prayer first.
As the program started, we are assigned to tribes and I belong to Tagubtob tribe which means the Heartbeat tribe.
During the program there's an opening prayer, overview about the retreat program and an introduction of the participants.
Then, a big announcement shocked us. 😁😁 Our phones and gadgets will be surrendered before we continue the program. It will be keep safe during our stay and will be given to us at the end of our program on the third day. 😁 It is a way for us to have no distractions during the retreat. Most importantly is to have an intimate connections with the Lord during the state of silence and peace.
When our phones was safe kept, I wasn't able to take pictures during the program as well as the other participants. But, the servants and facilitators had it documented.
The 3 days retreat was full of knowledge,full of learnings, full of wisdom, full of acceptance and full of love. There's no judgement just an open arms, hearts and minds of each and everyone at the Retreat. It was indeed an intimate Retreat with the Lord and amazing children of God.
There's a lot of topics that were discussed by different speakers. Some speakers are from the CYP Quezon City. Every speakers shares their life experiences and stories. Each speakers was given a token of appreciation every after their talks.
The powerful praise and worship really made the conference room solemn and intimately connected with the Lord.
We had reconciliation and Holy Eucharist.
On Saturday Night, the servants gives a love letter to us patticipants. Then, we had shared a story of David and Goliath and the story of the Prodigal Son. We had a role playing and the story was based of today's generation. It makes me cry while we had the role playing.
After the dramatic role playing, we had so much fun on that Saturday night. We sing and dance while having pica-pica foods.
On the third day of the Retreat, the discussion continues. We had a Sunday Holy Mass. Some participants were given a chance to share stories in life and about the retreat. I am one of those who shared stories. I am so emotional while sharing my experiences and stories. I am truly grateful I am part of the Live High 1 Cebu Retreat. ❤️🥰🤗🙏 Then, the certification of participation was given to us participants. We are all overwhelmed of all the tokens we received.

When the Retreat ended, our phones and gadgets was returned to us. And I got few pictures and some are from my fellow participants. 🥰
Before we leave the Betania Retreat House, I took some pictures at the area. You really can find peace at this place.
It was the most meaningful weekend I had. The 3 days retreat really impacted my life to become a better person and to become a faithful follower of Christ. To God be the glory! ❤️🙏

I remember I also attended a youth retreat before where the organizers collect all our cellphone as a way that it couldn't disturb us and we can focus on the program. That's a good idea too.
Glad you're active in your organization, it really help us grow not just personally but above all spiritually.
Lage sis need gyud collect the gadgets para wala distractions.
Nice to join this kind of event. We got a lot of learnings, knowledge and wisdom from the speakers. It's also a way to have an intimate encounter with the Lord.
