It feels good to finally be back again here in Hive. The past days have been tiring but heartwarming at the same time. After my sister and her husband fetched me at the airport, we immediately headed to the boarding house of my nieces in Tacloban. We picked them up so we could all go home together and have a simple birthday celebration for my niece, Leelove. ❤️
It was already past 10 pm when we arrived home. Everyone at the house had already eaten and were having some drinks while waiting for us. The cake was already set on the table, patiently waiting for the celebrant to arrive. Even though it was late, the moment still felt warm and special. ❤️
When Leelove finally got inside the house, we gathered around her, sang her a birthday song, and lighted the candle. She silently closed her eyes, made her wishes and prayers, and then gently blew the candle light. I could see how happy she was despite arriving late.
Then we had our groupie with the birthday girl. These moments may be simple, but they remind me how important family gatherings are, no matter how late or how quick they happen.
Even though we arrived late, we still ate together. My nieces didn’t stay long because they had to go back home early because they still had class the next day. But I’m happy we were able to celebrate even just for a short moment. ❤️
Earlier that evening before we arrived, the food had already been prepared for the celebration. The family started eating even without the celebrant yet because it was already dinner time, and everyone was hungry, especially my nephew. He kept waiting for his cousin Leelove because he really wanted to taste the cake. Sadly, he fell asleep before we arrived. 🤭
Thankfully, the next morning he was able to eat the cake properly. The smile on his face made everything worth it. ☺️

I pray that as you continue your studies, you stay focused and determined. May having a boyfriend never become a hindrance to your dreams, but instead may it inspire you to grow into a more responsible and strong young woman.
