Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
Today, I went out to the market to buy some food stocks for the next few days. Another super typhoon is coming to the Philippines, and I just want to make sure we have enough food in case the weather gets worse. 🙏
When I reached the market, I immediately noticed how the prices of fish and other goods have gone up. Still, the place was full of people. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry, probably doing the same thing as me, preparing before the typhoon arrives.
Even though everything is expensive now, we really don’t have much choice. Food is a necessity for everyone, and people will always find a way to secure it for their families.

The market was busy and full of life despite the gloomy weather. I took a few photos quickly and kept my phone back in my bag before I started shopping.
I first bought bananas, then fish, some vegetables, and spices. I also grabbed cooking oil and rice, my bag got really heavy afterward! 😂 After I finished everything, I hurried home before the rain started.
Once I got home, I cleaned up the things I bought. I washed the bananas first, then fried a few for snacks.

Then I started washing the fish, veggies, and spices to cook tinolang isda for dinner.

I bought two kinds of fish, but I cooked tinolang pampano only. I used lemongrass, ginger, onions, tomatoes, lady’s fingers, and water spinach.

The soup smelled so good while it was cooking. After a long day, it felt nice to enjoy a warm meal with a bit of rice and some fried bananas on the side.
Aside from the things I bought today, I already have some canned goods, eggs, and dried fish that I purchased the other day. These will be my extra stocks in case the weather gets worse or if we can’t go out for a few days.
Even with all the worries about the coming typhoon, I’m thankful for small things like this such as a warm meal, a safe home, and the chance to prepare.
Lord, we come to You with humble hearts, asking for Your mercy and protection. We lift up to You all the victims of Typhoon Tino, those who lost their homes, their loved ones, and their peace of mind. Please comfort them, Lord, and provide them with strength and hope to rebuild their lives.
And now, as another typhoon approaches our country, we pray for Your divine shield of protection over every Filipino family. Calm the winds, lessen the rains, and spare us from further destruction. Keep our hearts steadfast in faith and our minds anchored in Your promises.
Lord, be with the rescuers, the volunteers, and everyone working tirelessly to help those in need. Bless them with safety, courage, and compassion. May Your light shine through even in these darkest times, reminding us that no storm is greater than Your power and love.
We trust in You completely, Lord. Heal our land, protect our people, and strengthen our faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. 🙏🙏🙏

Yes, thank God we are safe. 🙏
It was really a strong typhoon, and many areas were badly affected. 😢
Thank you for your concern! ❤️
Praying for the Philippines and for everyone who’s still recovering. 🙏
almost same in several city in my country but not huge typhoon like in Philippines.
But mostly the last 2 weeks is rain all day long every day
Thank you for sharing. Even if the typhoons there are not as strong as the ones we experience in the Philippines, constant rain every day for two weeks is still challenging. It can cause flooding, sickness, and so much worry. 😔
Let’s both stay safe, and may God protect your place as well. Weather is really unpredictable now, so we must always be prepared and careful. 🙏❤️
yeah everyday is like swimming in the road
always flooding
and yes me and my son still have slime in our nose and lungs
hahahah
Oh no, that sounds really uncomfortable! 😅
I hope you and your son get relief soon, that slime feeling in the nose and lungs is the worst! 🙏
Take care and stay safe always, and hopefully the weather gets better for all of us. 🙏
Keep safe Sis. preparedness is the key, new suggestion p nga to add life jacket pati salbabida sa emergency bag/kit
Thank you, Sis! 🙏
Yes, you’re right that preparedness is really the key.
I’ll take note of that, adding a life jacket and salbabida to our emergency bag is a great idea.
I also hope the government can provide life jackets and salbabida to every family, especially those living near the coastal areas or danger zones prone to flooding.
Stay safe too, sis! ❤️🙏
Wow, going to market and buying fresh fish and vegetables are my comforting activity. Your recipe is best for this moment of what's happening in our town with bagyong tino and uwan.
Yes, I agree!
Going to the market and buying fresh fish and vegetables is also one of my comforting activities. ☺️
Cooking and eating something warm like that really helps ease the worries during this time with Typhoon Tino and Uwan. 🙏
Stay safe always! 🙏❤️
We also prepared before the Super Typhoon hits.
Nice sis!
Ingats Tayo palagi. 🙏🙏
