Going Home With a Full Heart and Heavy Baggage 🤭

Hello everyone!

Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏

As I’m writing this, it’s the night before my flight back home to Leyte. My things are all packed or at least, I think they are. You know that feeling when everything looks ready but you still feel like something is missing? That’s exactly me right now. I’ve got my luggage, my backpack, and my sling bag lined up like soldiers waiting for tomorrow’s battle at the airport. My main luggage is upgraded to 24kg, I added 4kg from my 20kg purchased checked baggage while my backpack should only be 7kg but I still have clothes hanging because I washed them last minute. So let’s see how that goes. 😂 Seems like I’m carrying heavy baggage going home, literally and maybe emotionally too. 🤭

When I came here to Manila, I only had my backpack and sling bag with me. But now I suddenly have an extra luggage with me. That’s what happens when you spend time with loved ones and you end up bringing home not just things, but memories too. I got gifts from my aunt, some items from the tiangge, a few things from my sister, plus my own belongings and some stuff from my partner who’s currently abroad. It’s been three months since he left, and even if we are far from each other, I keep reminding myself that this distance is part of our sacrifices for the future we’re building together. ❤️🙏

Tonight, I also did my own manicure and pedicure. 🤭 I’m not a pro but I do it sometimes when I feel like pampering myself. At least it looks clean and presentable! Simple joys like this matter. 🤭

And guess what??!! I actually lost a few kilos! 🤭 When my partner was still here, I was around 60kg. Then I started cutting back on rice and did a few walks at Arca. Slowly, I went down to 58.15kg.

I wasn’t able to continue my 10k steps goal because of a few personal reasons, but I still continued minimizing rice. And today, when I checked again, I weigh 55.65kg. 🤭🤭

Honestly, that’s a big achievement for me. I hope I can still reach 50–52kg soon. 😁 Little progress still counts, and this is something I’m proud of. ❤️

I’m really excited to go home because I miss my family so much. There’s always a different kind of comfort when you’re in Leyte, surrounded by people who know your heart. But at the same time, I can’t deny the nervousness I feel. I don’t know what awaits me when I arrive. Not everything in life is easy to talk about, and some battles are meant to be fought quietly. Maybe when I’m ready, I will share it. For now, I’ll hold onto courage and faith. 🙏

Have a Blessed Tuesday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖

Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!

Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! 😀😀😀

Everyday is worth to be grateful of!

Praying for the safety and wellness of all.

Heal Our Land Oh God!
