What's up fellow hivers! It's been raining all day in my hometown, how about in your place what is the weather? Hope everyone is safe and healthy. For today's blog it's my entry for week challenge # 146 "Hammock Hangin". Hammock for me it is more than just for fun and for relaxation it is very useful for mothers like me. Hammocks is very practical solution for mother in the province, the babies are very comfortable when they sleep, and they sleep longer. When the baby is sleeping, I have to do quickly the household chores that never ends. My friend in Taiwan has having an electric hammock for her twin babies, I wonder how convenient to use such thing, if it is safe to use for babies than a traditional hammock.
Way back then I was born in 80's my mother used empty sack of rice to make a hammock, it was very practical my mother recycled sack for us to have a hammock, me and my brother were fighting that's why my mother made two hammocks. It was placed under our house it's called SILONG because our house is native like Bahay Kubo. We are very fond of hammock during our childhood even now that we are adult hammocks brings us space of relaxation and to recharge our body and help us unwind. Hammocks are lightweight can set-up everywhere you like ideal for camping, picnic and travelling.

When I have to work to be done in kitchen, I put my baby in hammock at first floor, and up when I have to do something in second floor. Hammock has integral part of the child's journey, its gives comfort, they contribute to a child's physical and emotional well-being. The gentle rocking motion of hammock helps soothe and calm children, gives comfortable space for children to rest.

Relate that to me because when my young sisters and brothers is swinging using a Cloth hammock hangin then now try to used it for my daughter . She loves it too tahts make them easy to sleep. Cataleyah is fine and doing well in her studies, she excel in academic. It is useful method to put the babies into sleep and they sleep longer and we mommies can do the household chores.

I was a baby hammock too. It must be so comforting and the sways make you tingle. It really has a great connection to someone who has experienced it. You have a nice hammock area there.
The story you mention I can relate, because those days we also have a hammock made by rice sack, and it's very comfortable with warm feeling! yes, I agree also that in us the hammock is very common specially in the outskirt place we like to hung a hammock every under the tree to relax in the afternoon! this is really reminds me all these hobbits.😊
That's our simple happiness during our childhood. Sometimes fighting to other kids because they push hard yet brought us good memories. Hammock was set-up everywhere because the empty sack is costless unlike today there are so many designs of hammock that can we buy in the market.
Babies can sleep peacefully in it. I also used it before. 😁
Indeed a big help for mothers, we can do a lot while the baby is sleeping.

I bet everyone would love to swing in a hammock, truly gives relaxation especially if it is set up outside the house under the trees with beautiful surroundings.
